I wish it were that easy to find someone here in Nebraska lol!
There must be someone in T-Nation who knows a competitor in Nebraska.
help me out, T-Nation! Tag whoever.
Do you have any local BB shows on the horizon in your area? Could def ask around there or talk to the management of your gym. I would have to think someone would know someone.
There are also plenty of online posing examples. Practice in the mirror. You need to see yourself posing. It takes a ton of practice.
I’m currently in Nebraska, but don’t have any bodybuilding experience. That said, it’s a big state. Narrowing down a more precise location can help.
Lincoln
I’m in Omaha. Not too far. We travel to Lincoln semi-regularly, mainly because Howzitt BBQ is amazing.
I found this doing a quick search
Might be worth reaching out and contacting some of these folks
Thank you! Nice to know there’s some Nebraska flavor on here!
everything is here complete with tutorials.
he also sells a mat
Elevate your posing practice with The Posing Mat , the ultimate tool for bodybuilders dedicated to perfecting their stage presence. Designed with precision and comfort in mind, this mat combines the supportive features of a yoga mat with innovative enhancements tailored for bodybuilding.
Body comp update. I know my posing is still crap, but how many weeks would it take me to be in competition condition based on my current physique?
Your body condition is ready for a show today. Your skin is very thin and has a nice dry look. You are lean enough to show very good muscular detail.
Concerns: (I am being brutally honest with the following opinion)
-
As you know, your posing is not ideal. Your poses have no aesthetic appeal. They seem awkward. You really need some “hands-on” posing help. It is a shame that you are blessed with very good body composition, yet cursed with an inability to display the product of your efforts. Think “look big and wide” when posing.

Your legs are in dire need of some mass. I would (and did) prioritize thigh mass building. Until you get some bigger “wheels” you might be more successful competing in Men"s Physique.
I appreciate the honest thoughts. I’ve been really trying to hammer on the legs
Can you post your weekly leg training program? I’ll offer some ideas.
You’re already probably leaner than I was at my show lol
You could definitely compete now especially if you’re drug free and compete in a Tested competition, but I think it would be a good idea to add some more Leg size like Nomad was mentioning. Check out Frank Zane’s 31 Day Wonder Posing ebook if you want some good practical instructions on how to post from one of the greatest of all time and pair that with some visual aids from Instagram like Pete Hartwig
