Ate something bad yesterday. No lifting last night. I went to bed at 9 PM with the kids. Felt much better today.

military 175x3,185x3,200x8
bow flex chest press 200x10,160x15,160x10,140x15
shruggs 405x7,405x10,315x10,315x10
1 arm overhead db press 60x10,10,10,10(each arm)
bow flex pulldowns 4 sets 10-15 reps
bow flex curls/hammer curls 4 sets 10 reps
lateral raise 25’sx10,8,6,6

I flew through this workout in about 40 minutes. After I headed outside and made my dragging sled. I pulled it through the snow for a bit and worked up a good sweat.

that is some big OH press…
and seems like a fast fast pace I detect a
conditioning block ahead.

That sled sounds like fun and work all in one.Nice training.

thanks KMC and JT

Got outside today.I did the following:

A. swing hammer 50 reps
A2. drag sled across yard and back

I did this for 5 sets. At times I wanted to drop. This is a great workout. Next time I am definitely wearing gloves with the hammer. I stuffed a rock(25-30lbs) into the tire for extra resistance.

Doesn’t look like much on paper but yesterday kicked my ass. I feel out of gas today. Can’t wait to do it again.

It looked like a lot! That hammer will take it all out of you!

Eco has become YardMann!

Time to make some DZ walk handles.

How is it pulling the sled on the grass in the snow?? I’ve avoided it cuz I figured it would be more difficult than pulling on asphalt. let me know…
ol

The first pass across the snow packs it down so following passes aren’t to bad. But I couldn’t drag walking backwards because my feet kept slipping.
Hockey season is almost over for my boys. This will hopefully give me a little more time to train during the week. Two kids on travil hockey teams is tough on a schedule.

the hammer can kill a callous
pretty quick…

nice work

My hands were on fire towards the end of my hammer work. Gloves are definitely a must.

3/10
squat 435x5,495x3,495x3
leg curl 100 5x5
weighted sit ups
squat 405x5

My right knee and low back were aching real bad. Tried to end the workout with 405 5x5 but right knee would have no part of it. I have the perfect build for squatting but the perfect joints for video games.

I know I should be the last one saying this, but maybe a few light sessions would help that heal up?

tripling almost 500. Awesome.

Maybe you want to try a wii sport?

those are some BIG squats
great work

Next you’re gonna say those other words I hate like stretch and foam roll. But you’re correct I should do some lighter stuff on occasion.

KMC, we have the wii and its fun as hell. Bowling, tennis, etc. All those wii games are a blast. I am fairly decent at guitar hero.

GPP work

A1. sled drag
A2. sledgehammer 50 swings
3 sets

B. sled drag while carrying 100 lb sand bag for 150 feet for only 1 set. This was tough as hell. One set was enough.

I want a sled now, dang.

sounds like fun

It may be a passing thing but I enjoy dragging this stupid old tire around the yard. Carrying the sandbag while pulling the sled is crazy hard. I wore some work gloves with the hammer yesterday. My hands felt much better.

Are you weighting the tire with anything or using it as “drag” while carrying the sandbag?

Either way it looks fun.

I should take a video of what I do at work.
I make television/film so I am usually on a ladder 4 to 6 hours a day and carrying a good amount of crap lights, cable, sandbags.

I always think about forming a sellable
“training system” of dvd’s based on what we do at work.

hmmmm
