Smart!?! That is genius and damn prudent!
Big Red Machine NYC headquarters is
two blocks from our place.
I gave up bikes too, I rode too fast.
much to fast

I threatened my wife that at age 45 I was gonna buy a Harley to kick off my midlife crisis. She was not amused. I didn’t get one.
yet
2/27
squat warm up, 385x5,410x5,435x8
BW squats 10-20 reps, 3-4 sets(these smoked me)
I haven’t done squats in awhile. The BW squats showed me my GPP needs work. I bought a sledge hammer today and plan on beating my big tire tomorrow. The GPP work starts.
I’m trying to figure out how 435 is a squat warm up!! Good work Eco.
Yeah what’s up with that.
I need to get old. (er) and fat.
dang…
just think about gloves…
blisters under callouses can suck.

you are too strong for your workout clothes. You need a superhero suit.
How bigs your hammer…er I mean sledge hammer.
Willy, sorry for any confusion.I meant warm up followed by 385,410,435. I wish 435 was a warm up. I can tell I haven’t done squats for awhile by the way my legs ache today.
Streamline, I bought a 10 lb hammer. After swinging it today I almost wish I had bought a 8 or 6 lb hammer. My hands held up well. Maybe get some gloves when I can do more swings.
Skid, the suit got to tight. Have to wear shorts and t-shirt now.
I had to walk through almost knee high snow to get to my smashing tire. I was already winded before I even started swinging the sledge hammer. After 5 minutes of swinging and catching my breath I was done.

I got ya Eco. Go ahead and spring for a 12lb hammer or maybe 16. You will be used to the 10lb in no time.
They are calling for snow here Sunday and Monday. UGH!!
3/1
bench 300x5,320x5,340x7
4 board press 315 5x5
BW dips 5 sets 10 reps
chin up 5 sets 3-5 reps+some cheat reps
I am following a Wendler 5/3/1 program with a few modifications. Everything feels great. No joint pains, just achy legs from squats.
Willy, a 10 lb hammer will be good for awhile. I am a bit out of shape. I ended up doing around 220-240 swings yesterday. I would like to build up to 500 with some sled dragging in between hammer sets. Its calling for 18-24 inches of snow here tonight. So don’t feel you’re alone Willy.
Take a little to get use to the increased cardio with that 10#er.
To many memories of swinging an 8# maul splitting firewood.
I used to split wood for my parents. Was fun. Even liked stacking it.

A WARMUP!?!?!?!
Good GOD!!!
If “I” tried that ALL of my blood would shoot out my eyes and nose and I’d shit my spine out (all at once!)!!
The hammer can be a lot of fun
