Outstanding!

Very good stuff bro.

Thanks guys.
I really enjoyed myself yesterday. There were 23 lifters and a lot of people watching.
My bench was 10 lbs higher and dead 50 lbs higher from my meet last October. I had the third best deadlift and second best raw bench. But the second place dead was well into the 600s and the best was in the low 700s. The best raw bench was 440 lbs (twice his weight). I am so glad I lift raw. Those shirts and deadlifting suits look like a pain in the ass.

The plywood floor came apart as I was putting down my 550 deadlift. My feet ended up 8-10 iches further apart then when I started. I guess some screws gave way.
I can’t wait to get training again.

I guess I’ve got some catching up to do. I may have to gain a few pounds to get within sniffing distance on my bench:) Congrats on the meet. And yeah the shirt is a real pain to get on, the deadlift suit not so much.

Sorry but I didn’t. This being my second meet and going alone I didn’t even think of it.

Great job Eco! All the hardwork paid off.

New PRs and an audience, too. Way to go, Eco. Old Farts Rule!

Thank you everyone for your kind words. I wish we could all get togehter and have an over 35 lifting meet somewhere (or just a few beers).

This is whats next for me:

  1. Wendler 5/3/1 program (with a couple modifications)
  2. sled dragging, sledgehammer work, outdoor stuff once or twice a week
  3. No night time binge eating or snacking at work (this will be the most difficult for me)

After this meet I have a re-newed excitement about hitting the weights.

throw yourself at it!

Carrots and celery for you my friend. In little plastic bags, nibbled in your little work area as you hunch over and shudder with desire for the birthday cake the the next co-worker is celebrating with. For a treat you can have diluted frozen juice popsicles you made at home.

Look at the time! It’s ice cream for me…

What kind of ice cream? Chocolate sauce? whip cream? Please be more descriptive.

2/24
military 165x5,175x5,185x11
db chest press 5 sets 8-15 reps
shrugs 5 sets 10 reps
bent over BB row 5 sets 10 reps

I moved every rep as fast as possible without compromising form. I sometimes find myself falling into bodybuilder rep speed.

Skid sure knows how to get right in the pit of the stomach of us big guys doesnt he eco? I was thinking the same thing. I wanted to know how much as well…

Good lifting today big guy!

I’m late to the party AGAIN!

Well done indeed Eco!

I have been looking for push pull training and here I find you under fat boy. I thought tis thread was about Harleys at first.

Thanks solo dog and Willy.

No Harleys here Ironman. I got rid of my bike years ago. Maybe I should change the name.

got rid of the bike years ago?? wtf?? besides dying on the platform my second way to go would be throttling down on my Road King through some twisties up in the mountains somewhere.

speaking of which… it’s almost riding season again here in VA.

this is a pic of my new iron hoss and i’m sitting on the one i built and sold recently.

here’s the one that i built and sold recently…

Nice rides! Had a couple friends get hurt or killed on bikes. So I gave it up. I want to get a 4 wheeler and snow mobile next. The kids are getting old enough.

Meat, that’s not a minivan in those pictures is it??

i hear yeah… I rode in a Outlaw Motorcycle Club for a couple years and saw some pretty nasty accidents. one time, this friend of ours was riding the yellow middle line into a turn and this bitch in a BMW came over the yellow and took his foot clean off. all you saw was this big pink cloud and the loud sound of her front fender hitting his leg. He was such a badass though… he was able to stay on his bike and pull to the shoulder.

and… uhhhhh… yeah… that would be the wife’s minivan. we have a deal- she can buy whatever car she wants and i buy what i want. I have the F250 pickup, Harley and you can seet the CJ-7 in the garage.

but i have to admit… i love sitting in the back with the rugrat all reclined in the big seats watching movies on the DVD player.
