I gotta second skid. Hindu squats are easier to in bulk than sissy squats, cuz you can get into a rhythm, do more reps, and get more blood the area. Do what skid said!

awesome benching. it’s not often that you see 405 being thrown around. it would be awesome to see a vid at some point. i’m always interested in seeing different setups.

550 went up real smooth. I felt dizzy at the top and after I put it down. No more maxing out until my meet.
The entire back side from hams to lats aches in a good way today. Light squat type workout today or tomorrow. Kids have practice until 7:15 tonight so I may not have time to hit the basement today.

A lot of hindu squats, sissy squats,lunges, step ups,abs. Kept it mostly BW stuff. Got a good burn in the quads.

GMs look good. Wendler, et.al. say that you should only do heavy triples or more reps with GMs, and not do them as a ME lift. I am still using the WS for Beginners template, so I keep using them that way. Also, I have never had a very strong back, and the heavy GM singles have given me progress I would have never seen before.
I usually don’t have a spotter for board presses. I only do 2-board right now, so I took a couple 12" 2x4 and duct taped them together with a little rope on one end. I stuff em under my shirt, and I shove the little rope around my belt so the boards dont slide down to my neck. I do this in a power rack with the safety bars set 4-6" below the top of the boards. Even with the safety pins, I have found that the lack of a spotter motivates me to complete the lift. That could be just cuz I’m a pansy.

I will have to try GMs for an extended period at some point. I just find they hurt my neck and I’m not sure if I’m even doing them 100% correctly.
Well its official. I can’t gain any more weight per the family. I’ve put on 10 lbs over the last month and my snoring has really increased. My wife says its gotten so bad she can’t even sleep in the extra bedroom next to our room. I really have to try and get down to the 242 or 220 weight class. I’m going to try and stick to a low carb diet until the meet then try the V-lite diet afterwards.
My wife tells me honey wake up your snoring.I wake and say no I’m not and she reminds me your awake now of course your not snoring.Forgetaboutit!
