Yes sir. Here is a video from Chris Popovich. I’m to the left in black.
My wife, daughter and family friend came up. The had a blast shopping at the outlets.
Thanks Dan. Sounds like a fun town. I’ll check out the video when I get home.
Got my training straightened out for this meet in Feb. I just found this powerlifting organization yesterday. They have several meets a year locally. Two push/pulls and one full meet this year.
Your gonna rock some weight in feb. brother.Keep hammering away. Have a great weekend!

My wife recommends staying at the Hampton Inn. Outdoors was fun, but not a great venue for PRs.
Happy Hunting in February.
I take it they are just practise meets. Away horning your skills before the big meets. What ever it is, I’m sure it will be a blast. Plus it’s always a great feeling to go out and show your stuff.
Stay focused, I’ll be thinking some powerful positive thoughts for you come Feburary. Not that you need it.
Thanks guys. Stream I need all the positve thoughts you can muster.
Start my training for Feb 22 tonight. Going to try and hit my first and second bench atempts for the meet tonight.
1/16
bench (competition commands) 375x1,405x1
bench 335x1,1,1,1,1 (all comp style)
3 board press 335x5,5 315x5,5,5
tri ext 3 sets 12 reps
lateral raise 3 sets 15 reps
I was pumped I benched 405 with a pause. I haven’t lifted heavy for a couple weeks. I made sure I ate 5 times a day yesterday and today. Food definitely helps keep and build strength.
Dude
you just benched what I deadlift!!!
Awesome!!!

Awesome, Eco. Tear 'em up! SO I take it you’re training is directed towards your third attempts?
Thanks KMC.
Skid, my training will be directed toward not injuring myself over the month and keeping at least current PRs intact. I will train with weights around 80%. I just wanted to hit my first 2 attempts this week. My training weeks oddly enough start on Fridays. I will be doing RE squat workouts only-no heavy stuff.
This is what I hope happens meet day:
Bench-1st 375, 2nd 405, 3rd PR
Dead- 1st 500, 2nd 540, 3rd PR

Good call, that. I’ve no doubt you’ll hit some PRs in this comp.

looks good bro. i would definitely stick with that plan. i think you will be amazed at how strong you will be at the meet. i expect so big third attempts.
1/18
RE squat day
powertec machine squats 2 platesx20,4x20,6x20,8x20
reverse lunge BWx20,20,20
squat machine calf raise 8 platesx10,10,7
This was the toughest workout I’ve done in a long time. Twenty rep sets are evil. I can’t remember ever feeling my quads pumped like after the squat machine.

I… we… have no doubt you will hit your goals. You are one strong s.o.b.

I believe it was something similar. But I found I can’t do squats and deads the same workout. It just tears my back up.

I am confident this will happen. Will follow as much as I can. Good luck!
1/20
warm up 5 minute bike, dead 135x8,225x5,315x3,405x1
dead 500x1,540x1
Thats all my left low back could take. I even did a good warm up. I was going to do rack pulls as well but didn’t want to set myself back. I may do the rest tomorrow night.

I dunno, man. Once the back is done for the day, it’s done. Best to let it rest if it feels worked. Maybe some recovery stuff but nothing heavy.
