Yea definitely, because Im going to need that power rack when I have to try my BB curl 1rpm, so I can then go on to the forums and boast about my awsome curling abillity,and my abs. Then go on to tell people, why my “full body training program” consisting of only curls and cruches, is the best program in the world and how Prof X is wrong and should be training like me. Haha
Jesus this guy came up to me today and asked, what do you recon the biggest bicep curl is in the world. I looked at him asked how much he reconed the worlds biggest calf raise is?, shook my head and walked away.
I also now tell people that ask me how much I bench, my squat numbers.
Because Im known in my year at college for being obsessed with the gym, I occasionally get people coming up to me asking me how to do certain thing with there training goals.
A guy came up to me and said I want to slim down like you did how do I do this? (a year and a half ago I lost 70 pounds of fat, then gained 24 pounds of muscle and ended up leaner then I was when i finished my initial deit.) So I told him you need to train with heavy weights do complex’s and most importantlly sort your deit out. I gave him some web links for him to read and said I would show him how to do the exersizes in the gym. So a week later I was in the gym with him, put a 22 pound bar on his back and showed him a complex, 6 lunges later, he said my legs are aching and stopped, even tho I was shouting at him to carry on.
So I showed him the whole thing at full speed and said do that. He said no I don’t want to my legs are hurting, and went on to tell me how a 130 pound 6ft ectomorph told him to do some running over weight. So I said what the fuck does he know about loosing weight, do whatever you want, if you decide to grow a fucking pair, and do what I told you to then you will loose weight, but if you dont, I dont give a shit im not wasting my fucking time on such a pussy. If you grow a pair and prove it to me I will help you if not then get the fuck out of my gym because I don’t want you in my way when im trying to train.
And annother guy said that he physically can’t gain weight so I said ether your not eating enough fullstop and probablly not enough protein. Or your not training right. He said no I eat soooo much last week and lost a pound, my matabolism is so fast that I can’t eat enough, I said for each meal eat untill you feel sick and can’t physically force your self to swallow more food then have 3 shots of olive oil, Do that 5 times a day and tell me your not getting enough calories. He pushed that statment to the side and said im eating soo much it can’t be that, so I said your not training right then, whats your workout he told me that it was this.

So I said your training is all wrong. So he dicided to tell me that I didn’t know what I was talking about, I laughed said over the last year I have gained 2 stone and increased all my lifts segnificantly, what have you acheived? I then said to my freind because I know nothing about weights, I recon I could add 7 pounds to you in a month, the other guy said it was impossible. A month later and 7 pounds later, he is leaner, bigger and stronger then he ever has been and I have a great training partner out of it. All this just to prove a point to this twat. haha
Anyway rant over, just thought I would share these things with you guys, anyone else had any “fun” experiences?
