I’m in Wollongong man, where is this Rock Solid Fitness ? Never heard of it. I started out training at home but now at fitness first. Can’t beat the convenience of just walking into the garage and lifting though.

I’ll post a picture of my new home setup once the power rack arrives. I’m fucking pumped. Great gym bro.

It’s finally here, pictures of the setup in a few minutes.

Nice set-up. You’ll love having a home gym - definitely the best thing I ever did.

Great progress as well.

Here’s the rack, have 500 pounds of olympic weights, maybe 1000 pounds in regular weights, a preacher bench, flat/incline bench, I’m buying a 0-90 degree bench soon, I got the dip bar and pull up attachment on the rack, also a pulldown and tricep pushdown attachment for my bench, a few bars and adjustable dumb bells, almost done…

Once my room isn’t a mess I’ll get some pics. The rack is so great. Assembled it today, has a 1500 pound limit, 22 pin holes, adjustable dip bars, a pull up bar, plenty of room for self spotting and pin presses all for 449.98, best investment I’ve made, besides my education.

Cool home gyms, guys

It got me wondering… how many square meters would you say is needed as a minimum? I have a guest room that just might be big enough for a home gym and frankly who wants overnights guests anyway?

Could we try to come up with a must-have equipment list?

I’ll start:

  • power rack with pull up bar attachment and a dip attachment of sorts
  • olympic bar
  • ez bar
  • weight plates: 10x45, 6x25, 6x10, 2x5, 2x2.5, 2x1.25
  • safety sleeves for the bars
  • adjustable bench
  • rubber flooring
  • adjustable dumbbells that you can attach regular weight plates on to
  • a piece of cardio equipment like, say a stationary bike
  • … what else?

First off,

Aussie Aussie Aussie

Im in Brisbane also, just in Albany Creek.

my “home gym” has been the best thing i bought apart from All the guitars and amps and effects pedals

iv got a Squat rack, ajustable bench, Power tower (chin up, dips, leg raise), roman chair, assortment of bars ect and a stationary bike which i found one night on the side of the road.
