Home Gym - Best Investment You Can Make

Looks good man. You look like you could kick up those 50’s no problems :stuck_out_tongue:

Wow! Awesome gym, Fitlab!

Same goes for the physique. Nice work.

Good to see some fellow Aussie’s gettin on the boards now. I’m a Melbourne boy and had a nice homegym setup, not as nice as yours but still sweet enough for me. Power rack, Adj Bench, Shitload of BB’s and a nice pair of 19inch DB’s that i could load up to about 60kg with 5’s on it (the 10’s were just too big).

But that all went in Feb when we lost our house to the Black Saturday fires and have been training at a commercial gym since. I have to say I like the bigger range of equipment and space lol, the only downside is travelling 40 mins to and from gym =(

Keep up the good work fitlab and keep us posted on the sweet gym developments!

That’s awesome. Let us know if any of your clients complain about the gym setup. And then kick them in the balls.

Thanks guys,

Bams101 thats horrid mate, did you have home and contents insurance ? Surely that would cover a rebuild in the future … 45 mins to and from the gym, thats dedication my friend, I have a winge when I had to travel 1 minute to the gym I used to go to in Brisbane.

That is indeed an inspiring transformation. Your gym looks excellent, as well.

(I used to live in Adelaide, but I haven’t been to Australia in over a decade.)

Well when you’re used to travelling 40-1hr to everywhere mate, get used to it.

Yeh we had insurance, the house gets started in Dec (sweet!!) and its alot bigger than the last one (super sweet!!!). I don’t think I’m gonna change back to a home gym though, took way too long to get every thing, plus I’m making liking the atmosphere and there isn’t tooo many idiots around =)

love the look of your home gym, were looking to go that way too, its almost impossible to get in a “good” workout at the gym, bad music, women giving me funny looks while i deadlift, newbies eyeballing my butt during romanian deadlifts, the 5.00 “tool time” rush - im sure you get what im saying.

would love to know what supplier you went with, as im on gold coast and looking into equipment now.

awesome physique.

Gym is looking sweet!

Hey Mate, nice gym and great transformation!

My ‘home gym’ is in my bedroom, a bench, squat rack and weights.

I live in Canberra, but I’m looking to move up to Brissie, I grew up near there.

hi fitlab,

i’m in brisneyland also. live in nundah, work in paddington.

congrats on the home gym/office

hope it all works out well for ya.

Niiice mate!

I’m sure you’ll recover the cost in no time too.

I’m in Sydney.

Hello All, Im australian too and ive got an awesome HOME GYM, its crazy but still more equipment to go.I live about 20 minutes from that ROCK solid fitness equipment manufacturer,
in new south wales near shellharbour. Ill take some photos of my home gym and post them…
your gym looks cool, mine is also cool.
recently i purchased bret contraras gulte book. i recomend it.
im pround of my home gym. but only serious and sensible people are even allowed to look at it,
ill post pics soon but because i believe the T-Nation people are ok.
right now im getting shredded ie. lowest possible healthy body fat level for me.
equipment wise so far.
power rack can hold a tonne 500kg on any pins even at the top of the rack so its pretty much
indestructable pin holes every two inchs.glute ham and reverse hyper shipped from elite fitness systems in america. my first atlas stone 50kg.prowler sled ,farmers walk implements,
weight vest, sledghammers, so far 2 kettlebell.
lots of grip equipment, gotta have hella strong hands, yknow.i got one of those football neck helmets from pda-piedmont designs, adjustable thich handled dumbells .i need a big type to flip and hit with the sledgehammers, got bands ,chains, ropes, punching bags, speedball.anyway ill take some photos just thought i put a word in because im an australia with a home gym.
plus i got books from most of the T-Nation authors.Ive got TCs ATomic Dogs-testosterone principle book too, yeah.

Business must be booming man that is a quality gym, respect on the transformation in relatively short time frame too.

best investment I ever made to.

Good move with the home gym - was space or area an issue.? Im in Sydney … will look at RockSolid’s website now. Thanks

Final installment of my home gym photographs.

The Squat Rack and Adjustable Bench arrived today after a month of waiting and after a few hours putting the rack together this is the finished product.

Another shot …

Good move with the home gym man, I’m in Sydney and it’s not easy finding a hardcore gym here. Am trying to get my own equipment.

Congratulations on putting up your own home gym  I think we all aspire to have one someday!
But even more congratulations in your body transformation! The difference between 2002 and 2006 is just brutal
