I just don’t see anything wrong with wearing body conscious clothing.
Maybe we’re talking over each other’s head. If by “body conscious clothing,” you’re refering to UA/tight shirts… those are off limits. If you mean a man should simply wear nice clothing/clothes that fit properly and aren’t sloppy, then we have no disagreement.
I have to agree here. If “body conscious clothing” means basically you are wearing a wetsuit out in public then my vote would be no.

I own two houses, have an impressive bank account, am on track to receive my advanced degree soon and like to wear stuff that shows my hard work in the gym. I’m not trying to get any kind of approval for any of it, it just is what it is - a fact. Should I feel like a prick every time I mention my summer home in conversation if it’s appropriate to the subject matter, or invite friends up there for the weekend? Or talk about school, or training?
I don’t feel insecure, or angry at anyone for enjoying what they have. If the rest of the world is privy to that enjoyment, I don’t see how that’s a big deal.
You don’t want to be compared to this guy…
hahah i am constantly surrounded by jersey guids, and at one point i made a hilarious fake myspace profile using that same guy’s pictures. the actual douchebag actually found it and sent me messages in some seriously fucktarded vernacular i had a hard time deciphering…

hahaha @ wetsuit in public. Wearing a fitted T-shirt is one thing, wearing something that is designed to wick away sweat while you are working out as your only layer (I wear them under shirts sometimes) is just weird and out of place.
I will admit to wearing them only to work out…I’m guilty of being too skinny to wear them rather than looking like a sausage wrapped in a body condom. Probably just as bad a gym fashion faux paux.

No, you are wrong. And still insecure. Nobody asked for a detailed rundown of your accumulated wealth. That is not relevant to your point. It proves nothing that you announce this wealth in conversation, here and offline, while wearing flamboyant clothing and seeking approval. Wait, perhaps it does prove something… DOUCHEBAG!

Oh, puh-leeze say you still have the messages and that you can copy/paste them here for us…

So, to channel the “Bodybuilders are Weak” thread - what is the primary motivation to look at a movie star like McConaughey, who looks like he trains pretty decent, and blast him?
BTW, I went back and read that whole original thread on Sherdog.net - I remember the whole thing from a while ago. I read about it on Tuckermax.com…
I just about busted a gut laughing. My wife came into the office 3 x last night because I was crying from laughing so hard. The post where he compares his friend to Superman and He-Man is priceless.
BTW, when I say body conscious clothing, I don’t mean skin-tight Under-Armor. I don’t even own any UA. I have a few muscle tees, but I’d hardly call them anything like that - even the MBW shirt I have doesn’t look like that.
But a nice, well made fitted pull-over, or tee-shirt is just fine in my book. I don’t understand why that’s any kind of issue.

Toss out that bench. This is how you get what so many call a “chiseled” chest.
Why is this man paid to be less muscular than me and you? Why do people think he’s in exceptionally good shape?
It’s called mass appeal. He’s basically a male version of Jennifer Gardner - appeals to everyone. Most of us might think the current PI is very hot but alot of men in the general public would be repulsed be her. Just check out what some media guys have recently said about Jessica Beil.
Mathew McConaghey appeals to Mary housewife, her daughter Suzi AND the ladies of T-Nation. Mass appeal. Plus he’s a good actor. Are You?
You know, I am kind of upset with you guys saying that because you have built a decent physique it is acceptable for you to wear tight revealing clothes to a club and not look like an idiot.
Keep going with this argument and I will post pictures of Guidos that have built a decent physique wearing similar clothes in public. It’s not cool, its gay. Keep going with this crap…I will fill these pages up with losers like this that have a decent physique and dress how you describe. After all, he is wearing the shirt as it is designed to be worn so it is acceptable…right?
I don’t understand why the queers like me who read this column and try to follow the intelligent advice that is squeezed in between so much bs put up with you guys.
I don’t see this kind of competition in the gym or in real life – what’s up with you muscleheads (str8 or bent?). It’s really demeaning and distracting to those of us who are headstrong on achieving a goal we all hold sacred – building the best body we can in the amount of time we’re given. I’m really tired of the anti-gay ranting.
