Ok, normally I dont let shit bother me. I goto the gym, train hard and mind my own business.
Lately, there has been a steady influx of kids in their teens/low 20’s coming to the gym. I guess its the before summer last run at abs.
Well, they all weigh 125-150lbs and most are training to look this way…
I saw some kid, muscle shirt, whopping 14 inch arms and baggy shorts walking around teaching other kids how to train.
Ok, it looks ok if your into being blown over in a light wind storm, but gimme a break.
When I was growing up, the classic Arnold/Lou look was the goal. You never looked at some skinny guy and say, man I should cut until I look like that.
I never see these kids working their legs or nothing.
Anway, sorry about the rant, I just hate seeing kids waste their time. Go fuggin eat and come back when you weigh more than 200 lbs.
I’d rather see these “150 pound” kids in the gym “cutting” than see them sitting in front of the TV, eating and becoming obese. I welcome any “kid” in the gym with open arms…hey we all were there once and if it wasn’t for some old guy mentoring me I wouldn’t have found the many years of contentment that lifting has given me.
maybe you should talk to them? you will be amazed what happens (not being sarcastic). Its just they don’t know any better…what the see eminem or other wise is all the know until someone comes along teach them a different way…that’s my .02
Not everyone wants to be a bodybuilder or powerlifter. Some people are fine with 14 inch arms at 130 pounds. They just want to be healthy.
The world would be one messed up place if all men where over 200 pounds at 6% bodyfat. Thats why we are what we are. We are the “Ones” while they are the “Ninty-Nines”.
They can’t fathom what we do. They think we are crazy. We are that 1% that only understand ourselves. So don’t let their workouts and goals bother you.
Bottom line - these are just kids trying to get laid. Guess what? Lots of chicks, especially younger ones under 21, dig that look, and a majority of them like it better than a bulky muscular look. Not all, but most.
Hey, i don’t write the rules here, Im just a guy that keeps my ear to the street and what the young kids are up to.

A grown man weighing 130lbs with 14" arms is “healthy”?
I didn’t say a grown man at 130 pounds with 14" arms was healthy. But a 14 year old high schooler at 5’6 130 pounds with 14" arms that is active and eats right is healthy in my opinion.
I you were to need a person to function in a small area, a guy that weighed 130 lbs would be what was best.
In my dating days I dated a girl that was 5 feet tall. We would go to a crowded bar and she could get across the bar and back in the time I could move 20 feet. It was amazing how fast she could move in a crowd

I don’t know about the 130 lbs., but it’s certainly possible for a man with 14 inch arms to be perfectly healthy.
He may be tiny and not be able to lift anything worth a damn, but he could definitely be healthy…
Size alone does not indicate health. That was the point. Most grown men of average height only weighing 130lbs would probably be missing something in their diet.

What are you talking about?
15 yr old girls might go for the EMO stick figure look, but I know plenty of females that like guys that are a bit thicker and taller.
I hear girls say the same thing all the time"He is way too thin",or “He needs to put on some weight.”
I am talking about women in their 20’s,not 14 yr old highschool girls though.

not that you give a shit, but i take personal offense to this post…
not everyone wants to be a powerlifter or bodybuilder…they might just want a muscular frame, or to not have the physique of a chubby 12 yr old girl… even if they are still considered “skinny” by the hardcore lifters, at least they are at the gym doing something active…right?..like myself, if most of you look at my pics you would call me skinny and say im wasting my time…but the truth is i am bigger and stronger than most 17 yr olds that i know, and have made vast improvements, and have received no complaints from girls my age…
think back to when you were 16-17 and how you looked, and how your friends looked, and how the bulk of men on this site looked…then ask yourself if you went to the gym and how healthy and strong you were…and at least try to give myself and the rest of the ‘skinny’ kids a shot before you run your mouth…
p.s. im going for more of the brad pitt in “fight club” physique…which i dont think anyone in this forum can make fun of in any way…fuck eminem he doenst look like he went to the gym a day in his life…maybe just a few situps and pushups…
