Read Starting Strength, it has great advice on breathing.
I can;t remember the last time I thought about my breathing pattern in the gym. It should come natural.
A couple times when squating over 3plates when I got all the way down and started to exhale as I start my way back up Ill lost all my breath(forced out) and almost ate shit, luckily I got good balance and strong legs… That would have sucked to collapse wit that weight on me.
I don’t see how anyone can NOT hold their breath through at least part of the execution of a heavy lift.
How tare you supposed to stay tight while squatting 350+ pounds if you aren’t holding your breath?
