Hoglover's Journey to Leanness Cont'd

I figured my original thread might be getting a little long so I figured since we’re starting a new year that I’d start a new thread continuing my journey but easier for people to catch up with.

Time to start rocking and rolling again. 2008 is going to be a great year of achievement and knocking down goals.

After reading and following along with Gus in the V-Diet Physique Clinic I think I’ve come up with a good and workable plan nutrition wise to get to my lowest weight and bodyfat in years.

While doing the Cheat to Lose diet plan successfully for a couple of months (and seeing good results) I dropped down to 180 lbs at one point. During the holidays I put some of that back on but not all of it so I’m still ahead of the game as far as I’m concerned.

What I plan to do is resume the Cheat to Lose diet starting this weekend (after taking a few weeks off) and riding that “pony” until it starts to slow down. Once I start to see progress and weight loss start to slow I will then begin the V-Diet en route to my lowest weight and bodyfat in probably 10 to 15 years.

I’m going to start building up my supplement arsenal now for the V-Diet.

So I hope everyone enjoys following my journey. Comments, suggestions, encouragment and a general kick in the ass are all welcome.

Thanks and I hope everyone has a great year.

Good luck, brotha!

Just to check in:

I’m still plugging along with eating good and staying active. It’s always a challenge to be disciplined and do both but I’m giving it my best.

I’ve started to acquire some supplements for my future run at the V-diet. I once took a crack at the V-diet back in 2005. Although I thought I’d done it successfully (thinking back about it) I found some old journal entries that I made on a forum while doing the diet. I’m glad I was honest while journaling because I realized while reading those old post that I didn’t do the V-diet at all. I was one of those rationalizing pansies that made excuses for why I couldn’t do this or do that on a given day. Man was I disappointed in myself when I read that.

I did lose about 10 lbs while not sticking to the plan at all so I wonder what I could’ve done had I followed the plan to the letter. Well, I’ll get my chance to find out in the coming months. I’m glad I found that old thread because it pissed me off to see how weak willed/minded I was back then. I think I’ve definitely grown mentally since that time. Now, I don’t have much patience for excuses.

Just some thoughts I had today.
