Okay guys, first post! Its my hip. My right one. Whenever I perform an exercise on one leg, ie: lunge, split squat, single leg hip thrust etc, my right hip/glute region gives out. Its like it can’t provide any resistance at all. I can do 10 bulgarion split squats with 100 pound dumbells on my left leg and I can’t perform a single rep with my right, I just fall to the floor!
I feel a strange dull pain in my right hip and it feels as though it doesn’t activate at all. I thought it was flexibility issue and so I got flexible but it didn’t help, I’m stumped at this point. What do you guys think may be the problem?
It could be a bit difficult to determine what’s causing your problem through just written description. You might want to consider seeing a physician depending how long you have been experiencing this and especially if you’ve been feeling pain.

If your hip gives out when bearing weight, it sounds like there’s a possiblity that your right gluteus medius is weak. Do you have issues when running- does the right hip drop out?
Yes! I was researching earlier and that’s ironically what I came up with as well, I feel it when I run and I also feel a tingling sensation in my left hip as my right knee caves in when performing unilateral work on my right leg. What do you recommend I do to fix it?
