HIIT Vs. Low Intensity Cardio

I have decided on HIIT 3x a week and 20 mins of low intensity cardio after lifting but before post workout shake. I lift 3x a week full body. I am taking in 1800-2000 cals with 2 pills of HRX a day because of my low tolerance for stimulants. I weigh 195 at 16% bf.

My question is do you guys think Im doing too much HIIT on such a low calorie intake? Would I be better off doing some pre breakfast low intensity cardio instead?

HIIT 3x a week is likely to prove catabolic in this case. I think you would be better off with a couple of lower intensity cardio sessions a week.

As for the fasted morning cardio, I would suggest a small protein shake before hand. There is an entire round table about it, where the coaches go into it in depth. Might be worth a read.
