If your still around squat dr, or anyone else for that matter, it would be great if you could tell me the best way to incorporate box jumps in a workout.

I watched this vid a few weeks ago and I was inspired to try em out. Turns out I did a 60" inch box jump so I was really pleased.

Defranco has his guys do them first on there Dynamic effort lowerbody day.

i never will understand why your talkin bout fricken jumping in the STRENGHT SPORTS COLUM, p.s. its about bench, squat, deadlift, and strongman, no oly lifting, no figgin jumping. dont waste space with friggin jumping, theres no contest for how high you can jump, and that guy prolly cant play basketyball so who cares!!

sorry, but i just hate this kind of stuff

box jumps i think, should be talked about in the strenght sports section because it builds speed that in turn increases your maximum true strenght.

ahh, it all makes sense now. You just thought you’d inform us that this growing three page forum was a WASTE of space.

“Strength Sports” is definitely a broad topic, and since jumping ability relates to overall strength it seems stupid to criticize the nature of the subject at hand.

And yes, there are actually many contests for how high you can jump ranging from football combines to high jump contests.

Also if you trash squat dr. or misspell “probably” again I will be forced to find you and manually remove your dick.

no joke.

Does he recommend high reps with lots of sets or few reps with even more sets?

Yeah, because cleaning 2+x your bodyweight doesn’t need strength…

“brawny”, not brauny or brownie.

Saw this thread and thought I’d add one. 5’8" has to be 40+ - YouTube

Oly lifting isn’t a strength sport?

too bad he’s a scam artist… he’s gotten tons of bad feedback about his program, which for many people, they never actually receive.

I didn’t know lifting weights over your head is not considered a strength sport. News to me.

I wonder what shotputters, hammer and discusthrowers jump? I would guess pretty good numbers because they are extremely strong and explosive, anyone got stats?

Broad jump world record from when it used to be in the Olympics is held by a shotputter. It’s around 12’2" according to wikipedia.

Thats just ridiculous.

Any guy that clears 3M (floor, not in to sand pit as it’s easier) has a rock solid broad jump. But 3.70M is RIDICULOUS

Koing

well dunno about other countries but in finland there are occasional broad jump contests and they are held with sand pit!
