I bet Colin Kaepernick can lift that. You know, since he is the perfected human being. Plus, Allen isnt a 49er so that lift technically doesnt count.

Sorry, I was using DB logic there.

Yeah that was total bullshit. Obviously he’s a lot stronger and bigger than me, but I could bench 500 raw right now if I had enough dudes deadlifting the bar off of me.

There Derek :)[/quote]

I was afraid to comment, that’s means I’d have to acknowledge that is on the internet and someone considers it acceptable.

A comparison (disclaimer - Im not a powerlifter):
1-No shirt
2-Closer grip and longer range of motion
3-Suspect bench press technique (from powerlifting perspective)
4-Spotters hands on bar in 3 spots…but, no appearance of imbalance in the weight or bar…so assistance minimal at best and consistent at the 3 locations. Id give an estimate of 30-60lbs…so I think 640 isnt unreasonable.
5-Obviously wouldnt get white lights in a meet.

Larry Allen obviously was super strong. He was also explosive and fast. He “hit” people coming off the line. Great athlete. Ran down a defensive back if I recall who intercepted a pass.

Kid is absolutely gifted and strong…and has the potential for a lot of success down the road. But to compare him to Elite football players is rather ridiculous in my humble opinion. He’d more than likely get thrown around like a rag doll despite his powerlifing talent. Even guys like Bill Kazmaier and Brock Lesnar realized this.

On another note…I always wondered what someone like Andre the Giant could lift.

Can’t believe that’s Big Nate Newton at the beginning.

That guy in the beginning of the video does not even resemble the old Nate Newton, you can tell it’s him from his face, but I would swear that looks like a totally different guy.
