Saw this in the grocery store and just had to ask if anyone knows what the deal is with this product.
It’s skim milk that has 30% more protein than regular milk. Something like 13 grams protein per 8ozs versus regular milk that is 8 grams protein per 8 ozs.
The indgredients don’t list any additives, so where does the extra protein come from?
Do you remember the name of this product? Was it in the same section of the grocery store as normal milk? I’d like to give this a try as I used to drink 2% back in the day but switched to skim for less fat. I still miss the thicker consitency of 2% and wonder if this ultra-filtered milk would taste less watered-down.
i’ve been drinking this stuff for a while. They advertise it taste like whole milk. Maybe they remove some water so you get more milk per oz. and a thicker taste.
Take a look at the ingredients closely. I also saw a higher protein lower carb milk but it had soy protein added to the regular milk. Not that I think soy is as bad as everybody makes it out, but just so you’re aware that it might contain it.
