High liver enzymes AST/ALT

My blood tests returned high ALT and AST liver enzymes. Is this due to my training routine? I’m a big train the set till failure person.

Training can effect your numbers for sure. Hoe elevated are they? Did you train same day or the day before your blood was drawn?
The more time between training and bloods the more accurate your numbers will be. Some say 2 week break for the most accurate.

Oh wow. 2 weeks? That definitely wasn’t the case. It was drawn 26 hours after my last workout was completed. They were pretty highly elevated.

Yeah nobody would wait that long.
What is pretty high? Do you drink alcohol?

115 I believe. I drink zero alcohol.

What is the range? That was ast and alt?

Liver enzymes are still elevated. Ultrasound on my liver was done and nothing jumped out. My labs are always done fasted on a rest day, but I train the day before. So labs are usually drawn about 24 hours from my last training session. CK is also elevated as well as some other markers that seem to elevate with highly trained muscles.

My doctor doesn’t seem to want to believe that the elevated liver enzymes are due to training hard. Could it be from supplements? I take a pre workout with 115mg of caffeine, creatine, glycerol, and L-citrulline. ALso a multi vitamin, turmeric, and ashwagandha.

I just find it hard to believe the elevated levels are due to supplements and think it’s all training based. AST=129 and ALT=164

Why not try running one of these labs when you HAVEN’T trained hard the day before as a way to rule out that variable? Take a deload week before the lab draw.
