Man, you strength and progress has been awesome.
Literally every time I log on I see you killin 25 more lbs.
Are you still running the same programming you were before?

Nice lifts, man. Your squat has improved a lot (and caught up on mine…). It’s DSSG if you still remember me.[/quote]
How ya been man?

I’ve been good, and bad.
This school year has been a bit rough from the workload (4-5+ hours of school work), after school activities, and weightlifting. I had also been really sick for awhile (but I finally feel good after getting tons of rest). I’ll be transferring schools tomorrow (the work load is less, the school is closer, and the classes and opportunities are the same/better).
How about you, Trivium?
11/?/14
Bench
135 5
185 3
225 1
265 1, 3
Getting spine and butt pain especially when I go heavy and strain. I need to lax ball my glutes and upper back
Pullup and db lateral superset
Db curl and extension superset I believe
12/1/14
Squat
45 1
135 1
225 1
247.5 6
265 3x5
12/2/14
Cg neutral pullup
+45 10x3
Left bicep starting stinging -_-
12/2/14 PM
My bicep still is strained. It seems really minor. Hopefully I don’t tear it one day.
Bench
135 5
185 3
225 1
275 1
265 2, 2, 3
Not happy
Banded Cordova extensions
3x12
ss
Reverse curl
70 3x12
Benching would’ve gone better if I used my beastie ball hook on my upper back. I overarch my lower back to make up for my upper back being too stiff

Thanks a ton you both. I’m a program hopper so now I’m easing into my new plan. I just take smolov or smolov jr numbers for bench and squat, then for deadlifts I’ll do some sort of linear progression I think. I add in accessory work where I feel like it. I also don’t tie myself to the schedule of the program at all, I just hit the lifts when I’m ready enough and then will back off if I’m feeling beat. Hopefully this helps my squat especially.
DSSG what are you looking at going into after hs?
12/3/14
squat

I will probably go into Chemistry, or Engineering. I originally wanted to go into Physics, but then I found out jobs are scarce in Physics. So my two fall back were Chemistry (anything but bio. Fuck bio.), and Engineering (probably mechanical, or electrical).
I am taking my school’s stem pathway (engineering and technology), and plan on taking pre AP chem next year and AP chem the year after. I also plan on taking pre AP Calculus, and AP calculus and AP statistics (and of course AP English, and AP American History). If I can get it approved, I might just take a pre-calculus class at the del-tech community college this Summer so I can get my AP calc and AP statistics out of the way before my senior year. I also wish my school offered AP physics, I would have a massive nerd gasm over taking AP physics.
Oh, I took a practice SAT English test (it was only one of the three critical reading sections, so there may have been some inaccuracy compared to if I took all three sections), and I got a 560. It’s not bad for not preparing for the SAT yet (I prepared for the PSAT though), now is it? ![]()
I’ll probably just take the Reading, and Math sections of the SAT this following Fall. Apparently the essay will be optional (which is good, because I now have a legitimate chance of scoring a 1500 out of 1600 instead of a 2000 out of 2400).
Also, if you are wondering why I am up so late posting, it is because my sleep schedule is really fucked up at the moment. I should be able to fix my sleep schedule so I get up at 5:30AM and sleep at 9:00PM

Good to hear you’re doing well! Chemical engineering seems up your alley
oddly enough all the bio degrees end up being more difficult with the chemistry aspects than biology. My only advice is to just pour your heart into the SAT and ACT daily, they’re worth so much to colleges and aren’t too hard to ace if you put in enough time.
12/5/14
bench
135 5
185 3
225 1
275 2, 2
225 11 touch and go bottom ROM, so not a PR
loosening up my upper back beforehand made a world of difference. I’m going to work at getting my tspine to arch better, my chest will be up and I’m in a way more powerful position
DB OH Ext
30 3x15
DB laterals
30 3x20
My goal right now is to keep upping the volume and frequency of the main lifts and accessories. Time to get hyoooge

My biochemist brother is trying to get me to be a chemical Engineer. Chemical Engineer get payed an incredibly high amount starting off, don’t they?
Also, that is because Chemistry is love, chemistry is life. (not sure if you get the “x” is love, “X” is life reference)
I might’ve had to google the reference hahah. Chemical engineering is awesome at the moment from what I hear, you can definitely pull $70k+ starting in my area which is pretty average.
12/6/14
squat
45 1
135 1
225 1
285 4x4
my back got tight after. I’ve been slumping on a cheap chair too much.
hopefully I can finish a final presentation tonight and train
12/7/14

Never heard of pre-AP lol. Make sure that engineering is something that you actually want to do. You’ll get a good idea in the next couple of years I’m sure.
How’s your back feeling, Brown?

It is just my school’s term for preparatory classes for AP classes. Also, damn, you are big.

It’s decent. I’ll have a new bed tomorrow and am working on my posture which should help. I’ve found rolling my glutes on a lax ball helps a lot. Thanks for asking boo
12/9/14
Squat
45 1
135 1
225 1
275 1
300 5x3 one more session left. After that I’ll repeat the same #s but try to actually get the workouts done in 4 days as prescribed lol
Ab wheel
From knees 3x10
12/10/14
AM
Cg pullups
BW 3 or 4? X12
I just entered a push/pull meet that’s a month from now so we’ll see then ![]()
I still want to train my squat hard though. I’m going to basically do block pulls once a week and pull from the floor once a week. I think I’ll just pull singles at 405, then 425, then 455. Today I took it easy:
12/11/14 AM
sumo mat pull
225 some
315 1
405 1x8
really easy session. I just wanted to get my hips in a decent position
12/13/14
pullups
bw 10?x5
reverse curls 3 sets
seated db curls 4 sets
12/14/14 got hit by a car again
12/15/14
Today was amazing. I went to my work gym just to try and walk slowly and lift on whatever machines I could manage. Turns out I’m not as screwed as I probably should be. My left ankle, knees, back are jacked up, and I have cuts and bruises all over but I fared pretty well.
bench
135 5
185 3
225 1
245 3x3, 2 failed it and had to have someone run over of course to pull it off
deadlift
135 some
225 some
315 I think about 10 singles
had to pull conventional and beltless as both of those things would’ve opened up scabs
light triceps and lateral delts

hahahah yep, I snuck that log entry in just for you. It was a hit and run this time. I got so lucky to be honest. I’m checking today if I can see an orthopedist without wasting my time with a family practice doc
