Okay so I slacked off like a loser about two years ago when I started into a MBA program and now that I am done I am wanting to get back in shape. My doc put me on high blood pressure med over this past summer. I noticed on all the old supplements that I used to take (well on most all supps) it says do not take if high blood pressure.
How serious is this warning? This may just be a dumb question but I thought someone out there might have some insight.
I read whey protein decreases BP. Running decreases it. Sex or masturbating decreases it. Fish oil decreases it. My BP has always been good. This summer they said it was high. Over the summer I took whey and did plenty of the above and did heavy lifting. I don’t know what caused it. Lifting has been said to decrease BP. Very intense lifting can cause BP spikes due to stress on the aorta. I haven’t gotten it checked since then.
