Hey Cupcake, How Come You Don't Lift Heavy?

Thought I’d start keeping a log. I’m training for a powerlifting meet in march with RPS. I’m also
a drummer in a touring band, so my schedule has to be adaptable. I train pretty high volume, right
now I’m doing the 13 week BBB challenge with 531, next week is the start of the 5x5 phase. I train at
TPS in a suburb of Boston.

My bests are:

405 squat
240 bench
480 deadlift @237

Today is deload military day, had to train in my basement as my training partner couldnt get out till 4, and the gym closes
at 6 and is a half hour away

Military Press:

95x5
105x5
115x5

superset w/ pullups. Epicly suck at these so I’m doing sets of 1-3
DB Military:

20s x3x20
super set w/ pullups
Trying to just get some blood flow in to the shoulders, nothing special

Circuit: 3 rounds:

hammer curls x20
band pushdowns x25
band face pulls x20
band pull aparts x25

side laterals light weight 3 sets x million

Just trying to get a massive pump and strengthen my weak areas.

Had a good coach at the gym, Jordan Syatt watch my form.
He cued me to lock my knees which made a huge difference at lockout,
Allowed me to extend my hips properly.

Sled drags x 2 plates ten trips

Focused on keeping knees out and pointing feet straight.

Cupcake, why don’t you bench heavy weights?

-the 174 pound guy who benches 250 paused at 16 years old

In all seriousness, in and nice deadlift. I have squat/deadlift envy.
