Umm huh? 24 isn’t on the same channel as Hero’s and they have been on at the same time for the last 3 weeks. What do you mean its getting bumped?

If all of them just started coming into their powers recently, how did Clair and her mother survive that car accident?

They must have had their powers for a long time, right?

Yes, logic would seem to say so, and I think I see where you might be starting to go with this…

If I may suggest, however, try to remember one thing here. This show is essentially a moving-picture comic book. As such, if you’ve read comic books for quite some time, you’d know that there comes a point where you’re just going to have to accept some things because the story/writers said so.

Trying to make logical sense of it all will probably make your head explode, lol. I can’t even remember all the times when X-men would make me go “WTF?!?!” through all the years, with all of the time warps, alternate realities, parents/offspring from different alternate futures (Cable, anyone?), etc., etc.

On the other hand, if you were asking simply for the sake of asking, completely ignore everything I just said.

Yea, I see what you mean, but I just thought there might be some meaning behind how or why they had their powers for the accident, but then didn’t have them again until recently.

I guess only time will tell.

You were able to tell just from his arm and watch? Wow, I commend you (and no, I’m not being the least bit sarcastic).

Well, I figured they were either introducing a new character (unlikely), it was Linderman (highly unlikely) or it was Nathan Petrelli. I came to the conclusion that it had to be ol’ Nate because remember that he seemed to have no trouble sluttin’ it up w/ Jessica/Nikki. Why should he have any trouble sluttin’ it up at other times in his life?

Plus he’s the only character thus far that wears dress clothes in every episode and has hairy hands.

As a side note, Claire’s mother is the actress that plays Wilbur’s mother on Nip/Tuck. (I watch entirely too much tv.)

My suspicion is that her mother has always known but kept it under wraps. Nathan Petrelli has never known because he was too jerky to admit that he may be different. Claire only recently realized her ability. This is just my take on it.

BTW, it was a fire. (Did mom start it?)

I never thought of that.
Good thinking.

That was my inclination as soon as I noticed she lit her cigarette with her hand.

Same here. We never miss this show and always tape it; it’s fascinating! I do wish they’d do something with the Jessica/Nikki line, though. It irritates me.

I’d be happy if they just offed her. She’s a worthless, annoying character thus far. All of the other story lines have some direction they seem to be headed in, some mystery to be solved. The Nikki/Jessica crapline peaked very early and hasn’t been compelling for a long while. Let her die.

Ditto.

However, I suspect Jessica/Nikki plays a huge part in things once the feces hits the fan.

The producers of the show have already hinted that not all of the heroes will end up as ‘good guys’. I suspect we’ll see Jessica gain complete control and turn into one of the primary bad guys in the near future.

Then, just when everyone buys into the ‘Jessica is a bad guy’ storyline, Nikki will finally toughen up, win back control of her body, retain her alter-ego’s powers, and help the skeptical good guys to save the day.

Episode 15 “Run”

Claire’s Real Mom - I didn’t like her from the beginning and now I really don’t like her, I mean the whole blackmail to get money thing was pretty low, of course Nathan is going to be standoff-ish about seeing the girl after being blackmailed for $100,000.

Claire’s Stepmom - I’m guessing something is wrong with her from all the memory wipes that have been done to her? I know it was mentioned that the Haitian had wiuped her before, coudl doing too many wipes be giving her the headaches and by the end of the show she didn’t even know the dog or Claire.

Claire - She should have at least cursed Nathan out! haha Seriously though I think she’d be pissed if she knew her mom had blackmailed the money out of Nathan rather than Nathan offering the money.

Nathan - How did he not recognize Claire? Oh well He’s still playing true to the asshole politician persona but I feel like he was somehow forced into being like this by being blackmailed.

Hiro/Ando - Eh, ok so they stole a bag for that showgirl from the Gaming Commision guy?

Nikki/Jessica - Assassin for Linderman At least things are starting to get more interesting with her character. Her next target is Nathan, hm?

Matt - Nikki/Jessica kicked his ass and killed the person he was supposed to be prtoecting. Ok I understand that the detective thought he was kind of an idiot but why pocket the diamonds in the end???

Sylar - So does he have some power where he can sense other people with powers or is this more that he knew who was on the list and needs Mohinder to show him all the people that are on the list.

“Someone flies, someone dies” Obviously the only 2 people that can fly right now are Nathan and Peter if he’s around Nathan…so the meaning is kind of odd because I don’t think they’d kill off either of these 2 people at this point.

“Nobody’s safe.” from Sylar? Maybe?

Not to mention the fact that her mom was even shorting her on what she did get out of him. She said something along the lines of, “He’s giving us $50,000. You’re entitled to half of that.” She was going to keep the other $75,000 for herself.

To me it seemed that he did recognize her. He looked at the picture for quite some time, and he had that “Oh, shit” look on his face while trying to not give anything away. That’s just my take, anyway…

Didn’t they do the “someone flies, someone dies” promo last week? I’m starting to get the impression that they’ve only got one real story to tell, and they’re desperately stretching it out over as many seasons as possible. We’re not really seeing much development of anything.

Same thing has happened with Lost. After a while, without any mysteries being solved at all, you get annoyed with the whole thing. Let’s hope that isn’t the case here.

I agree that the one-liner gimmick (“Save the Cheerleader, Save the World”, “Are You On the List?”, and now “Someone Flies, Someone Dies”) is going to get old if this series doesn’t pick up the pace a bit here soon…

The difference there is that Lost was originally planned as a mini-series. I think it was only written and maybe even filmed, as 8 episodes. If you go back and watch the original promo ads, it’s sold as a mini-series.

Then, like all big business, ABC saw dollar signs flashing in their eyes when ratings were through the roof, scrapped the original ending, and made the show into a series. And now it’s one of the biggest jokes on TV.

If they’d just left it alone, Lost could have gone down as one of the best minis in TV history.

I don’t know… I wouldn’t call lost a joke. I still think it is well-written. Season 1 was superb. Season 2 was very good. Season 3 has been a disappointment up until the last episode. The pace needs to be picked up a bit, and I do think they’re stretching to fill up 100 episodes. I disagree about the original ending being scrapped… they maintain that the ending has been planned from the beginning, and we’ll be able to tell that when the show does end.

WHOLLY SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIITTTTTTTTT!!!

I can’t believe how good this show is!

Yeah, last night was a good episode. I think we’re going to see a bit of Peter’s darkside come out.

And Sylar may be rethinking his last move!

This was the best episode yet, in my opinion. We’re finally starting to see some comic book action. Besides Nikki kicking people’s asses, we had not seen much of that yet.
