Help TC Rock the Casbah

If you’re interested in “instrumental rock”, which I’ve found effective during workouts, you might try one of the following:

Up in the Sky
Crystal Planet
The Extremist
War
Motorcycle Driver
Surfing With the Alien
Mind Storm
One Big Rush
(all songs by: Joe Satriani)

Don’t know if its been mentioned, but, from a couple of years ago:
Shinedown “45”

I find it funny how it was said earlier to only post one song and guys are posting there music library. But I have downloaded a couple of good songs just from this thread.

Just Stop-Disturbed
Awaken-Disturbed
Stupify-Disturbed
Down with the sickness-Disturbed
Bodies-Drowning Pool
Awake-Godsmack

Another one where the beginning is just sick.

Droppin Plates-Disturbed

OZZY -MR TINKERTRAIN

The Red by Chevelle

Take Five by Dave Brubeck. Its is in 5/4 time, which can be interesting as most people lift in 4/4 time.

28 days - Rip it up
Hilltop hoods - Clown prince
Audioslave - Light my way
Spiderbait - Black Betty
Foo Fighters - My Hero
The Tennants - Shit me to tears
Nelly - Heart of a champion
Pacifier - Comfort me
One dollar short - Is this the part?
Frenzal Rhomb - You are not my friend
Frenzal Rhomb - Never had so much fun
The Prodigy - Spitfire
Regurgitator - Fat Cop
Silverchair - Anthem for the year 2000
Marilyn Manson - Rock is dead
and Michael Bolton - I will go the distance… or maybe not PM me if you would like to hear some of these as they are kinda hard to find and pretty obscure being austrlian and all.

korn-y’all want a single?
system of a down-BYOB
system of a down-my sweet revenge
system of a down-hey man, look at me rocking out
nickelback-animals
some of my fav’s. really anything by System should do the trick

I listen to anything by Jack Johnson while lifting, his new album is good too.

I use to do that too… but then my training partners made fun of and thought it was kind of fucked listening to that with the weight I was benching… it’s all in your head.[/quote]

I sometimes like to lift to some totally un-gym-like music. I was at the gym once with no headphones and of course the music is usually crap, but the Marvin Gaye’s Let’s Get It On came on. I really was digging it and had a great workout. Although I wasn’t out to set any PR’s that day, the weights were flying up. It’s funny what can get you going sometimes.

soil - halo FTW!

a few others which are awesome and you must have include:

slipknot - duality
nonpoint - bullet with a name
flaw - only the strong

TECHNO:

Propellerheads - Spybreak (aka the matrix theme song)

ROCK:

Monster Magnet - Power Trip
Godsmack - Moon Baby

enjoy

Rollin Remix by Limp Bizkit ft. Method Man

Quarter by Fuel (Awesome rock song)

14 Years of Rap by Non Phixion and Arsonists

Morbid by Necro

Reign in Blood by Necro and Ill Bill (If you need to get angry to lift heavy, this song makes me want to beat someone’s head into the cement)

two I really like are

“The best of You” by foo fighters
“Another brick in the wall” either korn or the origional by pink floyd. I think the korn version psyches you up more though.

Serenade to a Cuckoo by Roland Kirk. Great jazz flute played like a lead guitar. Jethro Tull had a great version of this on their first album if you can find it.

Kanye West - Touch the sky
Wu-tang Clan- Gravel pit
Wu-tang clan- Protect your neck
Snoop Dogg- World War 3
Dre.- Forget about Dre
Jedi Mind Tricks ft. Gza- Eve of War

Rock and Roll Ain’t Noise Polllution AC/DC
The Beast and Dragon Adored Spoon

heres a few I love to listen to in training and fighting…

Korn: counting on me
Nine Inch Nails: Everyday is Exactly the Same

And my favorite of all, something that really makes sense in the weightroom:

Manowar’s Brothers of Metal. Great song, specific lyrics.

Naz-Bridging the Gap
