Help Strengthen Abs, Prevent Hernia

Hello!
My name is Marko and I have a big problem!
I love working out in the gym lifting weights or just playing basketball. As long as it makes me sweat I love it!Last year I had a rupture of abdominal tissue what resulted in hernia. After the surgery I was careful not to repeat the same mistake but I failed. I have learned that the reason why this hapened to me is that I have weak low abs.

So I am asking for help on this forum for some advice how to increase the strenght of my lower abs so that it doesent happen to me again.
Please forgive me for my poor english because I am from Croatia.
Thans for your help!

Knee/Leg Raises
Reverse Crunch

Squats

Good advice. Also, do exercises while standing any time you can. Alternate dumbbell shoulder presses are great at hitting the core stability muscles. I would add rotational work for abs as well. Grab a high cable pulley and do “wood chops” for instance.

Many great exercises and how to do them are located in this article:
