Going with the T-shirt theme, you could also have one made that reads:
Morbid obesity is healthy!
Just ask my wife!
(or, less disastrously, Just ask Kate Harding!)
Well, it would not be a good idea, but a moment of what is hopefully humorous in this hard situation could maybe help you out a little for a moment.

hmm which one is the FUF

…Die… that is all.

men everyone were ecstatic to hear that the proposed no fat chick law had been passed,
police were quick to arrest pro fat suspected dyke kate harding
Really? Seriously? This is logic?
So she ignores the statement that “eating healthy is a lifestyle”. I love people that do this dieting thing like it’s a trend.
Wait hold on lets sue the snack food industry for making people fat. Let’s sue Lays potato chips because I couldn’t eat just fucking one. Let’s have every bodybuilder who had a cheat meal sue the producers of snack foods as the reason he lost his competition.
I’m done I’m not writing anymore. I’m going to use my self control and not write anything else in honor of these fat people that don’t have the self control to STOP FUCKING EATING AND GO OUTSIDE AND EXERCISE!

I don’t get how a person can have a status labeled as “morbidly” and still think they’re healthy.
The term “overweight” doesn’t say much about severity of the condition without referencing it’s definition. On the other hand, I don’t need to look up the clinical definition of “morbidly obese” to figure out that it’s a big fucking problem.
To be precise, morbidly obese is defined as BMI of 35 or greater in the presence of at least one significant co-morbidity condition; or BMI of 40 or greater, period, whether any such conditions apply or not.
Significant co-morbidity conditions include but are not limited to: early osteoarthritis; sleep apnea or obesity hypoventilation syndrome; asthma; diabetes; hyperinsulinemia/insulin resistance; metabolic syndrome (dysmetabolic syndrome, Syndrome X); hypertension; and dyslipidemia (blood lipid profile yielding high risk of cardiovascular disease.)
While I hope she does not suffer any of these comorbidities, it seems unlikely she doesn’t, so if so her BMI of 37.5 combined with any one of these comorbidities does comprise morbid obesity.
If she does not have even a single one of these – but it would be quite unusual not to at her weight-for-height, in fact she probably has several, unfortunately – then at a BMI of 37.5 (if 205 is the figure used) she is only a few pounds away from the point where the weight alone for that height defines the condition as morbidly obese.
Obviously, the Kate Harding woman would not argue that just a few pounds more would be unhealthy. She would defend that too and attack anyone who said it was bad. So either way, Kate Harding’s position is that morbid obesity is healthy.
In other words, she’s a liar, an evil woman (if deeds define evil) doing a considerable deal of harm to all who fall for her words of honey, sweet to the ears of those wanting to feel good about being obese or even morbidly obese, but her words vastly increasing their risk of early death.
Lastly, the NEJM study (previously cited) showed that a BMI of even 32 or greater – and 37.5 is considerably greater than 32 – means, all by itself without having to check for comorbidities, double the risk of dying. Kate Harding says that’s healthy, in fact being even a lot fatter than that is healthy according to her deadly gospel of lies.
Don’cha know, it’s a feminist thing and it’s only male oppressors who would cite things like probably dying young and probably suffering severe disease conditions at an early age as reasons to not be way past the starting point of being obese (BMI = 30.) What bullshit and slander men spew in blaspheming against the gift of obesity! Obesity is what the Earth Mother wants! Believe, sisters, believe in Me and you too can overcome the temptation to lose any of that Goddess-given sheer hugeness and you can even feel GOOD about getting even more obese yet! Till and even past where you can’t fit in normal seats, in any clothes that can be found in any ordinary store, or even through narrower doors without butter! It’s healthy, so sayeth the Lord-uh! (oops, make that the Earth Goddess-uh!) Do I hear an Amen?
Just how does this woman define healthy? Clearly with her it’s some kind of lying Newspeak. Perhaps her definition is, having had a satisfactory amount of Ding-Dongs, Ho-Ho’s, Ring-Dings, Devil Dogs, Hostess Cupcakes, Fritos, Cheetos, donuts, potato chips and pork rinds in the last few hours and still being able to breathe, even with labored breathing. It must be something like that.

Seriously. Fat people are just weak willed. But they just don’t want to admit it.
I remember when they had the music video for “Big Girl” by that testosterone starved Mika fag in my gym.
Last time I forgot my MP3 player.
Incase you haven’t heard this faggotry before:

Wow. That was disgusting. I nearly punched my computer screen out of anger.
I felt compelled to post something on that site, doubt it’ll be there for long but they are a seriously delisional group of women.

Agree with this. The last thing she needs to see is that.

More realistic.

aaahhhh good job Yo Momma
these won’t make her feel as if the goal is impossible
I really like the posts from Bill Roberts, Ms. Parker, and OG. A lot of good advice.
Would it be possible to get her to agree to have you train her for a set amount of time as a trial run? Set up a 3x a week program of a basic full body weight program followed by a little cardio or something, and also have you do the menus and portions for meals during this time- or perhaps get John Berardi’s cookbook and let her pick any of the “anytime” meals in there… I think if you could just get her to commit to one solid month of trying it your way, she would see the light about what weightlifting and proper nutrition can really do for your body and how you feel.
I’ve yo-yo’d up and down dieting unhealthily for years, and I did all the cardio classes in the world, always looking for a better one. I spend less time working out now than I ever did when I was trying to lose weight before, and I’m eating a lot more calories too. None of the weight loss was sustainable previously because I killed myself doing endless hours of cardio with little energy and I always hit plateaus and it is hard not to get into a mindset like your wife’s after years of trying. I think she just doesn’t know better, because she’s never tried it this way, your way, the T-Nation way.
I’m losing tons of fat while gaining muscle. Her attacks on this website are completely bogus- many women use the principles outlined in articles and recipes and such here to become sexy, muscular, lean, and healthy- not just THIN. Feel free to reference my page- I’ve got progress pics up and my before pics are SCARY!!! There is a whole thread on here of people w/ before and after pics. I FEEL healthier, happier, and stronger now (I’m somewhere in the middle of my fat loss goals right now) at 186 lbs. than I ever felt when I was “skinny” (not eating enough, taking crazy stimulants, and being a 160 lb. cardio bunny).
Nobody on Kate Freakshow’s site is claiming amazing body composition turnarounds and touting about how much better their life is now that they have so much more muscle and are healthier. PLENTY of people on this site are. Your wife really doesn’t see the light, she “accepts” (justifies) her current self, is afraid of failure. I think the only way you can get her to see the light is by getting her to agree to a trial period where you (or a trainer who is in line with T-Nation type training philosophy) has control over her eating and exercise habits. She cannot fail to grasp the concepts of how to improve body composition and overall health then. After that, if she DECIDES her old lifestyle is preferable, then it really is a lost cause. It’s also a lost cause if she won’t concede the fact that her way doesn’t work/hasn’t worked in the past, and be willing to risk trying your way even if it sounds counterintuitive to all the things she thinks she knows about weight loss now. If it’s truly a lost cause… don’t continue putting up with someone who obviously cares nothing about improving herself, her health, her sex life, and her relationship.
Big fight last night. There are several problems:
(Soon to come: 5. She discovers this thread then cuts off my penis while I sleep.)
I’m not sure where to go from here. At this point I may need to accept that she will always be this way, so I need to decide how important that is to me.

Not true, she hasn’t always been this way has she? Therefore there’s a good chance she won’t always be this way.
Honestly though, what she’s doing know is the equivalent of starting to hang out with the druggie kids in high school. The more time you spend with them, the more ideas you get from them, and you become more and more like them. How do you break the chain? I’m not sure.
If you use firefox, you can block the kate harding website with a program called leechblock. lol
Sorry about your situation.
Have you been married a long time?
I don’t think that love is or should be totally unconditional. Each person needs to work at a relationship, and if one person is unwilling to consider the consequences of their actions it could be time to reevaluate the situation.
5’2" is fat. Not attractive or healthy. She may not ever be “thin”, but she doesn’t have to be obese. It sounds like she has an all or nothing attitude. This could be partly from you… especially if you are sending her to the Figure Athlete website.
Losing weight would go a long way towards feeling good about her body.
I think you need to back off a bit though. Sounds like she is being stubborn and will keep the weight on just to spite you or test you in some way.
Have you two considered counseling?
