I’m a new member to T-Nation and have been reading articles out the yin yang, which i may add are wonderful, but i have a unique situation going on i’am 52 yr old and have Atrial Fib and am taking toprol(50mg) mavik (4mg). i would like to have some suggestions on supplements and what one’s too take, since i cannot have any stimulants.
Also some more information on exercise routine. i do cardio every day for 45 minutes but because of the toprol its hard to get heart rate up to 135 and stay there, but i workout as hard as i can and do the best i can with what i have.
Thanks in Advance for any help

I am not a doctor and I don’t play one on TV, but here is the original prescribing information for each drug:

Please take the time to understand the interactions and adverse reactions of these meds. Looks like calcium and potassium supplements could pose a problem. You can Google the rest on your own.
Welcome to the site. Lot’s of good info here as well as entertainment from some of these folks.
Stay in close contact with your doctor. I found a doc that actually works out (go figure) @ my club.
She understands what I’m talking about and I don’t discount her advise as I tended to when I’d go see a doc that was 40 pounds overweight and had never seen the inside of a gym.
She ain’t bad to look @ either. ( not that that had anything at all to do with my decision to change doctors )
Dr Kenneth Cooper just discussed your situation on his radio program. See Cooperwellness.com, on the left side check radio show, then listen to past radio shows. You will be surprised.
