Help for Daughter's 19-Yr Old Boyfriend, First Cycle Before Jail

Thanks for info.

Completely agree , steroids ain’t gonna do shit for him in jail lol this sounds like someone is bored and wanted to start a story thread . 32% bf he’s not gonna get stronger or jacked in 2 months

It really depends on the jail & what your in for. Criminal history ect. Hes a young newb with no violent priors prolly be in a cell block thats low level offenders. However not trying to worry you but if its a major county facility thats over crowded well hes gonna be in with animals. Ive done time in a few different county jails. Big city jail aint no joke. Small town or suburb meh its ok…I seen COs but a newb kid in a cell with a 300lb Arian Nation prison transfer. Needless to say he was rapped and send to icu… Not much help here. For the most part jail is playing cards all day naps working out lots of showers and lots of jerking off…but make no mistake gaurds get paid shit & couldn’t give 2 fucks about what happens in the box

I think it comes down to if it’s county jail or prison. Less than a year, it’s county.

Just shut the fuck up, read a lot, help other inmates, shut the fuck up, keep to yourself, shut the fuck up, don’t bow up, shut the fuck up.

I think the OP is wasting a lot of time, energy, and money looking out for this kid because he actually likes him, and I get that.

But juice, or MMA, isn’t going to help the kid in jail. Shutting the fuck up will.

100% agree… & lets be honest most of the inmate population is skinny junkie fucks & fat turds. Only about 20-30% of yur cell block is hard ass dudes. And most of them just wanna get through the day…gamble…lift…jerk off…repeat till u go home

Not always.

You’re right that generally speaking, most places have a low - medium security facility or at least tiers in their facility, where they segregate inmates awaiting hearing/trial for violent or gang related crimes from other ne’er do wells who just drink too much or shoplift.

On the other hand, there are some places with terrible local lock ups. Either they suck on purpose or its bad management or they simply don’t have funds for better facilities and upgrades.

Just because this is an interesting topic, here are 2 examples of jail being worse than prison. The first example I know for certain, the 2nd I have on good authority.

Washington DC - The DC city lock up was 95% black and has everything from run of the mill drunks, crack heads and petty thieves all the way to rapists, child molesters, murderers and heads of drug rings.

Of course, they’re supposed to segregate inmates based on their criminal history but that doesn’t happen as it should. On high profile cases, of course they section them off and maybe if someone is waiting to testify for the state. If you’ve attacked another inmate then you’ll be placed in another section too (that is if its a bad attack…lots of fights go unnoticed) You learn quickly just how shitty their system is - as in a guy did 15 years for murder, is now ~ 35 y/o and back in for drugs sitting in with the rest of the guys - based on his past he shouldn’t be in general population , but alas there he is sitting next to you. About the racial breakdown, it really sucks if you’re not black, this goes for Hispanic, Asian or white - they won’t discriminate.

** In For what its worth category - DC being a “Federal Zone” sees most of its bad boys after trial, proceeding to a Federal lock up. As most know, that’s bus you around the country, from costal states to middle of nowhere Idaho time. Suddenly “DC Blacks” as they’re known become their own “car” or gang/social group - who most everyone else (including most other black inmates) do not like. So I guess that’s a little karma or poetic justice if you will…you never know when you’re not the lucky one anymore.

Los Angeles - I have only heard about this, but from a friend who did 12 years total in Cal State systems. He explained in Los Angeles City lock up was shitty. Due to the huge gang pop of LA county - Gang culture and politics were everywhere. Even with some segregation it was over crowded and gang affiliations made every section volatile. So at any time, a young petty crook with a gang affiliation could stir up something to boost his rep or worse, the real criminals send an order down, and next thing you know there’s a riot between 2 or more factions of gangs and you’re in the middle.

Again as a white guy, he explained being much better off in State of Fed facility. Once he got to a state facility, there were other whites from all over rural NorCal and the crazy desert people. The numbers leveled out for him plus Southern Chicanos & whites had a pact, which helped out a lot.

I got my time thru DC. The jail is definitely worse then most other county jails iv been in. Altho they do have a custody level tier there. Which you will receive in classification. But even the low security blocks in DC are rough but that’s mainly for the black community who bring thier problems from the street in with them.

I was sent to USP Coleman in Florida with a lay over at a federal holding (receiving) on the way. They aren’t called DC blacks really anymore now you are referred to as a “homie” if you were sentenced in DC your last 3 digits of your federal number will be 007 for superior court or 016 for district Court this will distinguish who you get in with.

But even in a rough jail like DC minding your business and following inmate law will take you a long way. And generally the guys that are in for more serious crimes are usually more laid back it’s the young rowdy ones that that have shit to prove you need to watch out for.

They didn’t like us in the feds because we were much deeper than any other state or car. One thing was for sure they might have not liked us but no one was stupid enough to fuck with any of us from the city being as tho we make up about 30-40% of every federal prison

Why did/do you let a guy headed to jail involved in narcotics date your daughter in the first place?

I don’t think any amount of MMA training, especially at his age for such a short time will help him. I’ve trained Muay Thai for 10 years and competed at the international level - I don’t know how well I’d fare in a prison brawl against multiple and/or bigger opponents.

Thankfully , my stay was short and it was about 20 years ago in my early 20’s. But for sure, like any other group, real deal criminals or veterans to the game tend to be much more calm, observant and def more calculating than the young knuckle heads.

Also right on the money, DC Blacks - that’s all I knew them to be called at that time - liked or not, definitely carry weight with that name, they’re respected for sure.

Oh man that place was a real shit show back then. Complete diasate from what I have heard. I’m young and did my time not to long ago but some of the stories I heard from “back in the day” were horrifying.

Kids gonna end up being Ryan Oreilly in there!
