HellBoy 2: Golden Army Out This Friday

In the midst of Iron Man, Incredible Hulk, Hancock, and Sex in the City, someone has to look out for the little guy. And with the upcoming Dark Knight movie, someone needs to save Hellboy before it ends up becoming a straight to dvd franchise.

Just look at the picture. Its the perfect date movie Check it out.

It has great reviews so far on Rottentomatoes.com, and we’re still three days out. With the direction in art that’s been taken, I’ll see it at some point for sure.

I’m seeing it this weekend. I’ve been looking forward to it for a while. We have a whole group going.

This has to be the greatest year for movies EVER. EVER!!!

I’m within spitting distance of a movie theater. I could see Hulk for a third time OR Hancock for a 2nd. And in three days, I can see Hellboy. Think about that!

Hulk at 3. Hancock at 6. And Hellboy at 6:30. All in the same day.

Hopefully you guys get that joke.

hancock must not be a good movie end to end

Oh hell, I never hears of Blood and Iron. Where it be?

I’m completely stoked. I’m leaving for pittsburg friday, going to the weigh in for my competition, and then immediately heading to the nearest theater for a pump up flick.

Vampire and werewolfs again Blood and Iron was better as far as animation and storyline

BUMP!! Watch the movie.

I cant wait to see this. Ron Perlman is the man!

O and Selma Blair looks fucking hot with shorter hair. On the flip side the girl in the Dark Knight looks like a chipmonk

I walked out of the movie…not so much because it was really bad, but because I just couldn’t get into that much “fantasy” going on randomly.

This is by far the weirdest movie I have seen since Pan’s Labyrinth…and they went way further.

There were some really good scenes, but…

Spoiler Alert:

Abe Sapien’s love affair should have been a quick idea pitch in the very first meeting before they produced the movie and then balled up and tossed in the trash can before “day 2” of the screen writing process. All it did was slow down the pace of the movie.

I felt the same way. I thought the guy at the helm did not have enough passion for what a comic book movie should be, unlike John Favreau.

Very forgettable flick.

Somewhere along the way, it turned into “Hell-Boy Goes To Muppet-Land”. All it needed was a Ms. Piggy and a frog with an irritating voice who sings.

I thought it was a pretty interesting movie. Granted, I was blown back and don’t remember a thing from the first one, but the art direction by Del Toro was mesmerizing.

You just walked out. 9 bucks gone. Doing it big Willie Style huh, Prof. X?

At least whenI walked out of “Roll Bounce”, I hated everyone in the film and I only wasted 2 dollars. Wait, it wasn’t Roll Bounce. It had T.I. in it. Either way, I walked out with only 2 dollars gone.

Artistic, YES. That is the reason I wrote that it didn’t necessarily suck…but they went WAY over the top as far as the concepts. There was just too much going on.

Spoiler:

One, “Tooth Fairies” were a good concept. "Tooth Fairies, trolls, wood nymphs, and any other creature he could think of turn “artistic” into “Dude, what the fuck is going on?”.

I actually think kids might be able to get into it more.

I thought Pan’s Labyrinth was a good movie, but there was much more balance there as far as the fantasy world and the real world. That made it work.

Here, they just went full frontal on the fantasy concept and, honestly, if you are going to do something like that, pass out LSD to the WHOLE audience so we can all ‘get it’ too.

Well I DID wait until the army was resurrected (which is about 2 hours in). I just didn’t see (or really care about) the ending.
