Height Vs Arm Size

I keep hearing that the shorter you are, the easier it is to make your arms look big. Take two people, say one is 5’5" and the other is 5’10".

Lets assume they both have 16 inch arms, are around the same body fat percent and each have about the same muscle in their arms.

Now does the 5’10" individual look a lot smaller than the 5’5" guy even though they have the same build or is a 16 inch arm just a 16 inch arm no matter what the height?

Same diameter, but longer length would be bigger right?

I guess a shorter limb might give an illusion of being bigger than it really is, but side by side, I think the longer arm would look bigger.

Take an even larger extreme. Would a midget bodybuilder’s arm look big and intimidating?

I’d also be curious about how much longer the average guy’s limb is if he’s a good 5"-8" taller. My arm, from the middle of my shoulder to the heal of my palm (where a bar would rest) is 25", and I’m 5’5".

I know some guys have short limbs, tall bodies, and vice versa.

This is in the Beginner’s section so:

Proportion. Do you think a 16" arm would look big on Shaquille O’neal? I wouldn’t consider a 16" arm big on anyone except someone extremely short. They would be the only ones who would make that measurement look “big” compared to everything else.

That is why WEIGHT matters in relation to HEIGHT. This is why there are weight classes in bodybuilding competitions and why most of the people in a certain weight class are usually around the same height range.

220lbs may look gigantic on someone who is 5’7". That same weight spread out over a body that is 6’5" would make them look skinny.

A better question, would my penis look bigger if I wasn’t 6’4"? Or does the length of my other limbs only accentuate the fine proportions of my johnson.

Although one time on this site I did read a conversion for loss of body fat to percieved penis length. Maybe that’s where the correlation is?

Godamnit…

(grabs another cheeseburger)

Bigger compared to the rest of his body, or bigger than the other guy’s arm?

It’s all relative.

What looks bigger, a 5’ long pipe wit a 2" diameter, or an 8’ long pipe with a 2" diameter?
