Hedlesky's How to Get Fat and Strong

Incline walking with a weight vest?? Never thought of that. I never like to do steady-state cardio, because I feel it’s a waste of time (though I know its healthy), but a weighted vest would make me feel it’s actually aiding my lifting in some way. lol

Ohh, and BTW, the phrase ‘Solum Per Extium’ is something I’ve really embraced man, enough so that I may incorporate it into my first tattoo. Thanks for introducing me to that. lol

For those of you who are confused as to why I keep using a treadmill: I have no other fucking option. I got a new job managing a fitness center that dosn’t have any free weights… or space… or balls, both medicine and testicular. I am working with the time and equipment I have. I am just trying to get some extra work in to keep my weight down for nationals. Update on that: I am down 20lbs in a month and already at my competition weight 5 weeks out.

Probably the words across the upper back, with a cross down the spine. I threw the idea to my friend who studies art, so he’s sketching up some different designs for me, see what I like best.

Ohh, and did I see 210x20 for Kroc Rows?? That’s retarded. lol. I’ve never even seen DB’s that heavy. lol

Sure am. It is very easy to adjust to drop some fat. It is actually so easy it’s stupid. I was 265.0 today. That is insane.

Man. That’s fucking awesome. I need to get some more posts up but I have been very very busy. I am actually working on a real .com that will be the culmination of all that is awesome with training hard. You’ve got to get me a pic of the tat when its done. I’ll get it on the site once its up and running.

I made the dumbbell. It was a $10 loadable 10lb olympic handle with 8 25lb plates on it. haha.

Wednesay-5-23-12-PM

Sled Dragging- all trips were about 60 feet
2 platesx2
4 platesx2
6 platesx2
8 platesx6

Stretched a little.

Did I read that right - Kneeling jump with an additional 200lbs load? Isn’t that like doing a Kneeling jump at 210kg bodyweight?

Do you do broad jumps much?

Your Kroc Rows look good (Ive just started doing them and hit 120x35 yesterday, I’ve got 155x20 in my sights) - do you reckon you could push them out past the level Matt Kroc hit? Never seen higher on YouTube.

Down 20lbs in one month? Holy shit, good job. Few people with any real strength level can do that and keep hitting PRs.

Is the new website the “big awesome stuff” coming up that you’ve been talking about?

I’ll be in OC this weekend. I’ll call you so I can a) either lift early saturday morning in your garage or where you work and b) see if you and heather want to get together with lauren and I for whiskey fueled screaming

YEAH^^! I was gonna say, pretty soon you’ll be out kroc rowin’ kroc. That’s not allowed…

ALSO, OUT IS THROUGH. That’s an alanis morissette song. Is that where ya’ll got it from? Alanis?
I got a t-shirt made that says “Mr. Morissette” on it, cause I figured if she and I were to date I’d be the dude. A lotta people asked me about that shirt, it kinda got annoying. “What’s that say on there?? Mr. Mor…” YA OK MR. MORISSETTE I am tired of explaining WHY!
It doesn’t fit anymore though. I’m kinda relieved. It was red. Red is my favourite color.

AHHaha this is wayyy too much rambling about nothingness for someone else’s log. Sorry bout dat.

K BYE

I think Kroc needs to be taken down

Yeah the advice and videos you have blogged has helped me more then nearly every other source on the internet, so when you get the new site, let us here know about it. I’ll get a pic up whenever I get in the next month or so. Putting it up on the site would make me feel pretty damn legit. lol

Where did you get those Oly DB’s?? $10 seems like a steal?

Yep. It was awesome and pretty easy. My best with a straight bar is like 185 so, this was a 15lbs weight PR.

I love broad jumps. The only thing I love more is kneeling broad jumps. In case you can’t tell, I love any and all variations of kneeling jumps. This is for a couple reasons:

If your mobility sucks, you can’t do them
If you explosiveness sucks you can’t do them
You land in a perfect squat every time
You have to go fast as shit, even with heavy weights

As far as sthe Kroc Rows, I have no fucking idea. Haha. I really don’t care too much about it either. Say I get up to something like 350 for 15-20… Kroc still squatted 600+ more pounds than I have in a meet. So, until I beat that, he wins. I like Kroc rows because I hate pull-ups and cant to BB rows every workout.

Part of it. A lot of business stuff has been going down lately. I just started leasing some space out of a local training facility. I’ve got about 2200 square feet to work with… which is a little bigger than my 140 square foot garage… which means bigger/more awesome stuff gets to be put in there. I was actually up at EliteFTS this weekend and worked out a pretty sweet deal on equipment. So, after my pants finish exploding, I will figure out what I can afford and place a big order. Even though I already placed one VERY big order already.

Exciting stuff.

First off, moving Kroc out of anywhere would take a lot of effort. I actually got to hang out with and talk to Kroc a whole lot this weekend. He is big. Cartoon big. Kowalski from Ren and Stimpy big. I talked to him a a little last year and he is like 2 shirt sizes bigger.

You found out my secret. My secret Alanis Morissette complete album collection. I keep it next to my Sweedish Speed Metal and Nirvana/Helmet/Failure/every other awesome 90’s grunge band cd’s.

That story about the t-shirt… absolutely terrifying. I still think you are cool. Just a little scared now.

Anyway “The only way out is through” is at the end of a poem I like about going to/getting out of Hell.

Solum Per Exitum. I want it tattooed on my forehead.
