hey storm what do you think of the compression gear? like the stuff on 2xu.com, is it worth the money?
I think it’s fucking awesome. Lifters (and pretty much all competitve athletes) have been using the stuff for years. This is actually going to be the topic of a future blog post. I have one of the UA Recharge shirts. Thing is worth it’s weight it gold. 2xu just opened their North America campaign. I think they are based in Australia or something. They have some pretty good looking stuff. Their material is supposed to be better then UA. Like I said, I love the Recharge shirt. If you get any of 2xu’s stuff, let me know how it works out for you.
ah sweet. Well UA is a ton cheaper than the 2xu gear, at least over here anyway. Thats really why i was wondering if its worth going for the cheaper brand or 2xu, seeing as there is about a $70 difference. Might purchase UA first then if it dont work look into 2xu. Thanks for the info storm.

I found a TON of interesting info. Some studies on hormonal and metbolic responses to wearing compression. In short, it’s fucking awesome for you.

I really don’t see how the tight shirt technology could advance past my UA shirt. 2XU’s stuff looks a whole lot cooler but I am willing to bet it is the same general concept. I might pick up a pair of their compression shorts though. My hips get lit up like a Christmas tree during heavy suit use blocks of training.

It makes it even more awesome that those kids are only 10-14. That one kid Jack weighs 70lbs and just smoked a 165lb deadlift. Doing stuff right is awesome.

Wednesday-AM-4-25-12-

Complexes with a barbell for about 15 minutes. I started with 100 squats and 10 good mornings and then just messed around. Just moving around while holding a barbell had me breathing pretty heavy by the end. Did a bunch of cleans and front squats as well.

PM-
180lb sled+ 170(each hand) farmers walks- 6 trips of 40 yards. This was brutal. Combining these two exercises causes some sort of rift in space time that seems to centralize in your lungs, hip flexors, and hamstring origins.

100 hamstring curls
150 Tricept Push downs, 50 OH one arm push downs x each arm

SL Sit-ups x 25, SE Sit-ups x 25

I thought my backload deserved some note today:

12oz sirloin smothered in blue cheese
8oz cheeseburger patty covered in fried onions and horseradish
2, 1lb potatoes
2 litre of orange soda

Feelin’ swol(er) by the second.

You like keeping fat pretty high in the backload I see? Have you experimented with increasing or decreasing the fat and altering the corresponding carbs?

^ I was gonna say the same thing…Do you ever estimate macros? No idea if you actually track them or not. Personally i love backloading. If i start adding too much fat in during the back load that is the only time i can gain fat while backloading. If its just high carb high pro and pro fat pre training I cant gain fat really no matter how many carbs i have.

Also was your wed training just extra stuff not a true “training” day

Well im basically gonna sound like the biggest fool, but anyway i ended up ordering 2xu’s elite compression shorts. The UA stuff i was looking at had no relation to compression gear and when i looked up their shit it came around to basically the same price. I trained in them today, i really have 0 comparison but everything felt so much better. Usually i get some mild pains across groin and hip but nothing today, which is amazing. When i first put them on, my balls felt like they were gonna explode but then everything kinda stretched a little and felt great and legs felt so warm.

thats my review. I probably would have said the same thing if i had of brought UA stuff.

You are some kind of back-loading wizard

It’s not usually that high. I just went a little nuts because I have been so clean lately. Too much fat, like the amount I had, is counter productive to backloading. Usually, the only fat comes from whatever is the meat.

Wednesday is a recovery/gpp/do some stuff day. It’s never really planned out in advance. I just like do so something moderatley hard for 20 minutes then get the hell out of the gym.

Thanks for the review. I am definitely not looking for anything to up my squat numbers, just something to wear for 24+ hours after training and during extra workouts. I probably will pick up a pair. Thanks again.

Friday- DE Upper- 4-27-12- At UR… I love training in awesome weight rooms.

Bench- Mini+205x6x3

DB Bench-85’s x 41<~~~ these are going backwards. Time to ditch them and do something else.

Elbow up Ext.- up to 180x6, PR

Lat Pull Downs- 100x20, 150x20, 200x12
Face Pulls- 70lbs x 2x12
Tate Press w/BB- 135x20, 15, 10<~~~ short rests

High Curls w/ tricep rope- couple sets of 25.

Reverse Hyperx3x20 w/90lbs

Sunday-8 weeks out- Strength Speed Wave- 4-29-12-

Rolled my entire posterior chain
PNF’ed ext rotators
Couch Stretch
Squat Stretch

Kneeling Broad Jump-Land-24inch Box (well, tire) Jump- 2 feet x 3, 3 feet x 3, 4 feet x 3

Squats- 400lbs in bands, 185 on a straight bar- 10x2 in the new TRX… jesus christ this thing is nuts. 5 sets to a low box, 5 sets to a parallel box. Keeping a hard lower back arch was tough. This suit wants to almost rip your anus out through your belly button. I need some more work in it before I can really comment on how effective it is but, the pop off the box was RIDICULOUS. Even when I was in a bad position.

Pulls- Quaded minis+Quaded m.minis- 225x6x1, 275x2x1… easily 500lbs in tension

Pause Squats- 14 inch cambered bar- got up to 500 for 6 with the new inzer gripper wraps. I like them a lot. I wanted more weight on the bar but my training conditions were not ideal today.

Slept like hell(like I always do in a hotel), was in a car for 4 hours, trained later than usual, and ate nothing all day. Still got some work done. All of my crazy ass training starts up now so I will probably dead before the end of the week…

550x2 off 3
585x1 off 3

475x1
500x1
500x0<~~~ I wasnt wearing a belt and the shirt slipped up when I hit my chest. This almost made me kill myself.

Tri Extension- used the whole stack in some peice of shit machine for like 4 sets of 25.

Didn’t feel like doing anything else.

Wednesday- 5-2-12-
