Thursday-12-1-11- ME Lower… 9 days out.

A SHITLOAD of mobility. Seriously like 45mins.

Rumble Rolled my upper back, lower back, lats, did a ton of T-Spine mobility over the roller (which is in my opinion the only way to loosen all that stuff up), IT bands (building pressure waves and doing some self ART), and quads

Squat Opener w/band traction
Femur Reset/Int Rot Stretch
Couch Stretch w/PNF
Ext Rot Stretch w/PNF

Leg Swings x a million

Deadlifts-
525 (75% of opener)x3x1<~~~ easy and fast
585 (75% of estimated 3rd)<~~~ just as easy, just as fast

Pause squats-
Worked up to 405 for 3 with no belt
Belted up- 500x6 easy. 25lb PR

Suitcase Deadlifts against quaded Monster Minis-x3x3 each side

Hammy Flossing for a while.

Pushing the sled and getting some more hamstring/ab work in later on.

Band Assisted Pull Ups- did sets of 5 with a different grip every set
Stretched a little bit

Saturday-PM-

A shitload more mobility. Started using a heavier band tension for the traction work. Stretching a blue band to 5 feet while trying to get your femur into the back of your hip capsule is very interesting. It must be what William Wallace felt like at the end of Braveheart.

Prowler- Pushed 90lbs for 10 trips of 60 feet… went very fast and wasnt the least bit winded. The concentrated loading of all the GPP work is really paying off from the last cycle.

Hammy curls- light band x at least 100 reps.

Sunday-12-4-11- DE Lower

Nothing too nuts today.

Squats- 355x6x1<~~~~ super fast
Pulls- 315x2x1, 365x4x1, 385x2x1 <~~~~ these felt great

45 degree GHR- Green band x10, blue band x 3x6
Back Ext.-30lb med ballx2x25

Standing band ab work x a bunch of sets of 20

Feelin good.

Monday- Stretched all day.

Tuesday-12-6-11- Stuff

Tons of hip/shoulder/elbow/ankle mobs

Wobble Bar Bench-100x3x25
Tri Ext.- M. Mini x3x25
Pull Aparts- Mini x 3x25

Supersetted all of those… or is it a compound set? Whoever names these things is an asshole.

Hamstring Curls- Lightx100 reps<~~~ these are so easy now. I didnt feel like I was doing anything until rep 80-85.
OH Squats- Did a million

Ended with this:

Choked a strong band around my rack, looped the other end around the crease of my hip, walked away from the rack until it felt like my leg was going to be ripped off, then squatted down and moved around for a while. I have done this before but with less band tension. This was brutal. I took it off and did some BW squats and it felt like I have never squatted before. My femur felt perfectly set and my internal rotators were actually loose for once. It only took about 250lbs of band tension but now it feels great. I am going to do this again later.

Excited to break some PR’s on saturday.

So far so good. Steroids improve infection fighting white blood cells so I shouldnt get sick this time… I hope no one from the USAPL read that… they don’t think my steroid jokes are very funny.
