Man I can’t believe how big your legs still are with the knee issue you have.
Regarding training legs, I would make the suggestion of pulling and dragging the sled.
Very easy solution. Get an old worn out tire, drill hole through tread, put an eyebolt through the tread with several big washers on each side. Attach handle and chain tot he eye bolt and you got a homemade sled for about 10 bucks. The friction of the tire makes it much harder than a regular sled and it will blow up your quads, calves, hams, etc.
Hope some of that helps you bro, good luck in your journey!

Holy mother of god. Those are some crazy erectors you have, Heavy. I assume it is from all the many many years of heavy deads/squats/good mornings?

I guess so, thanks for the compliment. my back and hips have always been overdeveloped compared to the rest of me.
also, i dont want to sound preachy here, but i have only been doing direct back work in the traditional sense for the last 5-7 years or so.
for the vast majority of my training life, the only “back work” i have done is variations of the deadlift, olympic lifts, and olympic pulls.
i am not saying that my back is all that, but what i am saying is you can build a fairly big back without going anywhere near the dumbbell rack, chin up bar, or lat pull down machine.

i tell you, doing lots of pulls builds your legs, but i have squatted for 20 plus years too though.

funny, i never thought my legs were much to look at at all, in fact, with xception of my calves, i never have gotten compliments on my legs, i guess our perceptions of ourselves can be very different than how others see us.

Yeah, you probably can build a good back with only deadlifts/rack pulls/snatch grip deadlifts/frontsquats/ and good mornings.
I just like back work in general (especially deadlifting), and I spend more than my fair share sitting down and reading/internet/ect. So I try to balance out my upper body pressing with upper body pulling along with hitting it hard with heavy exercises like the ones mentioned.
