I AM GOING TO MAKE THIS AS SHORT AS POSSIBLE.
i am not going to be posting as much for a while.
i have lost my job and my ability to practice (license) is being attacked, and i am in a legal fight for my career right now.
i am going to continue to diet and train, for mental reasons i have got back more into fighting(boxing) than lifting, understand that i need the physical abuse/challenge from this type of training to keep my mind occupied and not blow a gasket and jump off a cliff.
i still plan on following the diet, and the original weightlifting plan stronghold wrote out but probably only 1-2 times a week, as fight training is going to be 3-5 days a week.
i am not looking for sympathy, but maybe empathy.
if i have disappointed anybody or angered anybody, please respect the very serious events going on in my life right now and keep any negative comments to yourselves.
i will ask, that any positive thoughts, prayers, or wishes be sent my way if any are inclined to do so.
i am hovering 199-203lbs, and i will post pics at some point, but i just cant be as regular with updates such as i am sure strong and Z want me to be.
on the positive side, i am leaner now than i have been in 25 years, not since i would cut weight to make the 181lb weight class in power lifting as a teenager
if z and strong are still willing to work with me based on my new training strategy, and more limited time on the site, i would be grateful, but if not i understand, but again, if any of this angers or leads anyone to talk down or chastise me, please do so in silence as i have said i cannot tolerate any negative vibes aimed at me right now.

Very honest post.
I hope I can be bold enough to speak for all on this site and state that you haven’t let anyone down at all so disavow yourself of that notion at once. In fact, and this time I speak entirely for myself though I am sure others will agree, you have been an inspiration during your whole journey thus far.
HT, life does get in the way of lifting and I am sure it has for you many times over your years and years of training and grunting under the iron. I am sure things will pick up for you and of course I send my prayers your way.
Good luck man and I am positive things will work out for you.
You have been an inspiration for me personally on this site and I wish you all the luck in the world big man.

Let us know if you decided to start posting a workout log… I want to know how the boxing is going… I am thinking I might join a boxing gym myself…
recent pic, taken today after boxing training. 212lbs, yes i have gained some weight back.
looking to fix that and be back under 210 by this weekend
3 days a week of boxing/fighting training, bag drills, light cardio(jump rope, airdyne bike, light jogging) bodyweight drills, (core work on mat, side -outs, pushups, bear crawls, burpees, spider crawls, sprawls, ect) chins and dips.
1-2 days a week of weights, which is usually some light dumbbell and band stuff for pre exhaust direct training of arms and delts, then followed by an olympic lift complex
last weight training day was this:
band curls, band triceps ext, rear delt raise, side delt raise circut 12-20 reps x 4 rounds
complex- 3 deadlifts +1 full clean+ 1 power clean from knee + one military press + one push press + 1 split jerk x 6 rounds (90kg)
Looking good HT. Good luck with the personal stuff.
Speaks volumes about you, that you are still plugging away hard when the shit hit the fan.
Keep grindin’ brother.
To get some better pictures, you could download an app with a timer. I found one, “Cymera”. Works nice, and use a 10 sec timer. I just set my phone on a TV or shelf or something, prop it so it points to where I’ll be standing, push the button and walk to my spot.
I don’t have anybody to take pictures, so that has definitely helped me.

the thing about using fighting/boxing classes for cardio and conditioning, imho, is you are distracted from the cardio part by the skill and difficulty in the different technical drills , so you are thinking about that(your technique) and not your lungs burning.
with just running on a treadmill or step master or precore bike ect, it is so monotonous that you have nothing to distract you from the inherent difficulty of challenging you cardio vascular system.

small light at end of tunnel showing, maybe…thanks for asking
Good to hear from ya HT.Glad things are on their way to getting back on track, even If It’s just by a small amount. That’s how It always starts out anyway big guy.
I hear ya on the license thing, HT. Almost two years ago the same thing happened to me: one day I had a successful mortgage career, the next day it was gone (because of a change in the law, not any bad loans on my part). Not a fun position to be in at all. But in crisis, there is opportunity. You will find a way through it.
For what it’s worth, you’ve always been one of the people who’s progress and advice I always read. I don’t post much in the “on topic” forums because of all the stupid bullshit, but I definitely read them and apply what I find useful, and from what I’ve seen you accomplish, it’s nothing short of inspiring. No matter what happens, I’m sure you’ll land on your feet.
Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the Pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.
In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.
Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds, and shall find, me unafraid.
It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll.
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul.
-William Ernest Henley
I’m out before some young buck who’s been alive for less time than I’ve been lifting calls me gay for posting poetry in your thread.
