He Insists You Are Hector Reborn. Or Was It Hercules?

Nice beltless PR. Why exactly are you capable of deadlifting so much more than you squat even though you seem to have absolutely beastly leg strength (or at least leg drive in the deadlift)?

I have no leg strength. It’s just kind of a positional thing on the deadlift where I start with pretty high hips and my back is just in a good position to get the weight moving, but it is hard to lock out. I’m built better leverage wise for deadlifts is all.

I’ll bet if you got your leg drive strength up a bit to where you could start with slightly lower hips your deadlift would skyrocket! That’s a nice beltless pull PR btw.

Bench:
warmup
265 3x
265 3x
265 3x
265 3x
265 3x
225 12x
225 12x

Close Grip Bench:
245 6x
245 6x
245 5x

Still got no power from my right shoulder. Hope it heals up soon.

I superset all of the above bench work with 3" block pulls. I just pulled on Saturday, and I need to deadlift again Wednesday, but a bunch of the powerlifters were pulling today and they asked me to join in, which of course I immediately took as a challenge. No matter what your plan says, I’m a big believer in taking up people on a challenge. The benefit you get from the competition in that environment far outweighs any additional tiredness during your other work imo.

3" Block Pulls:
225 3x
275 3x
315 3x
405 3x
405 3x
455 3x
465 3x everything beltless so far; I belted up for the next set
495 3x
545 1x That’s a PR I guess. I never do block pulls of any kind lol.

Incline DB Bench:
70’s 12x
75’s 10x
85’s 8x
90’s 6x

Skullcrushers:

Incline DB Flies:
4 sets of 10 w/ 55’s

Ya. An hour to an hour 15 is the goal for me. Rarely…I’ll go 15 minutes beyond that…never more.

Y U NO UPDATE YOUR LOG?!?!??!!?11!??!?!!!

In all seriousness, I hope everything is okay with you. It’s weird not seeing this log updated everyday. o_o

New network installed at the office. Can’t access TNation from there anymore lol. That’s all it is. I’m not nearly as frequent about getting it done when I’m at home. I’ll keep it caught up though. I’m actually pretty proud of the fact that I’ve logged every single workout on here for the last 2 years.
