Hey guys, remember what a heavyweight fight used to look like?
That was a great fight, but neither one of those guys have the same power Wlad has, so no one will stand in front of him. Which is a smart thing to do, because both those guys are punchy now.

It has always been my opinion that both of these fighters would beat Klitscho- especially Joe Frazier. Too fast, too much bobbing and weaving, and a brutal left hook to the head and the body.
Neither of the clits have ever faced fighters of this caliber, and unfortunately they never will… I would love to see their mettle tested by someone other than these lumbering giants and big mouthed pussies that pass for HWs these days.

I would bet anything George Foreman hit harder than either Klitschko and Ali beat him. Actually, Wlad would most likely lose to a lot of the previous champions. Vitali on the other hand would fair better.
Wasn’t David Haye American?

Yeah, well I’m sure if you took a bunch of HIGHLIGHTS from the Haye - Klitshko fight and made a youtube video of HIGHLIGHTS of that fight you find that… uh… you’d find that… em… nevermind.[/quote]
Hahaha!!

Hey now, we get blamed for enough shit without adding that guy.
My bad, so is it worth watching?

Agreed. Vitali’s got much more of a fighter’s heart than Wlad. And I guarantee Big George hit harder than either of them… hell, even if he doesn’t hit harder than Wlad, what’s it matter? Wlad never throws the fucking right anyway, so the punch that’s landed is always harder than the one that’s never thrown…

no, it is not. typical wlad k. fight. hyped up opponent talks a lot of smack about how much the Klits suck, that they cant fight, that all of their previous opponents were out of shap and or pussies, afraid to take the fight to them(klits), take no chances, that they are going to bum rush the klits and get an early KO.
THEN the fight happens…and now they are in with a 6’6-8" wall of solid muscle who has very good boxing skills, and they wither on the vine. go into survival mode and try to get through the fight without being knocked out.
I called it perfectly, boreing late round KO or boring UD for W.K.

Haha, same could be said for nearly all of his fights. You did call it though.
Being as I never watch the heavies I though maybe Haye had a better shot, but you can’t win when you don’t punch and you’re on that bike all night.

Haye didn’t go too far beyond fighting his usual fight, he’s just in the ring with a legitimate opponent. I do think he made Wlad look beatable though. A heavyweight similar in size isn’t needed, someone the size of Haye who’s a solid defense and offense will be a very live opponent.

Lost in this shitty fight was Hayes fantasic head movement…if he would’ve just threw his hands AT ALL he may have won. Its not like Wlad beat the crap out him, he just jabbed and Haye moved and didnt throw.
I watched on HBO. Hayes was heavily criticized and even mocked by the commentator, only Roy Jones was defending him. I thought they were harsh on Hayes…sure he flopped around a bit and did not engage as much but we knew he wasn’t trying to out-punch Klit. Not sure how much the broken toe was a factor but Hayes got close to landing a few big shots.
I would really like to see the K bros tested a bit more before they retire. Boxing was never about size, it’s all speed, movement and anticipation. The problem is that they are all around good boxers PLUS size

good points. Haye used his size in the cruiser weights, as he was a big cruiser weight. now he is a smallish heavyweight. He is going to have be busier if he wants to win against legitimate quality heavyweights.

that is just the thing though…If Haye would have thrown more, he would not have been moving his head as much, and increased his risk for getting caught by a left hook or the big right from W.K.
that is what happens in most of the fights against the Klits. they go in with good intentions of being more aggressive and more offense minded, but once the reality sets in that they are in the ring with a BIG strong in shape opponent, who can knock them out with either hands, they go into defense mode.
the last two guys who actually stood in the pocket and tried to trade with the Klits was Shannon Briggs, and Arreola, both against V.K.
go back and dig up pictures of those two guy’s faces after the fight. nuff said.

Best two word summation of David Haye’s performance - “Toe Mas”.
