no, it is not. typical wlad k. fight. hyped up opponent talks a lot of smack about how much the Klits suck, that they cant fight, that all of their previous opponents were out of shap and or pussies, afraid to take the fight to them(klits), take no chances, that they are going to bum rush the klits and get an early KO.
THEN the fight happens…and now they are in with a 6’6-8" wall of solid muscle who has very good boxing skills, and they wither on the vine. go into survival mode and try to get through the fight without being knocked out.
I called it perfectly, boreing late round KO or boring UD for W.K.
Haye didn’t go too far beyond fighting his usual fight, he’s just in the ring with a legitimate opponent. I do think he made Wlad look beatable though. A heavyweight similar in size isn’t needed, someone the size of Haye who’s a solid defense and offense will be a very live opponent.
Lost in this shitty fight was Hayes fantasic head movement…if he would’ve just threw his hands AT ALL he may have won. Its not like Wlad beat the crap out him, he just jabbed and Haye moved and didnt throw.
I think he could have just jabbed more and picked up more rounds. His jab was his best punch in the fight and was landing it very consistently. It wouldn’t have been the stoppage he promised but he could have made it closer or even won had he used the jab more.
Anyone catch yesterdays fight? Derek Chisora VS Vitali Kiltschko. Drama before, during and after the fight.
Pretty Disgusting how things turned out and we get a look inside how low boxing (as far as HWs) have sunk.
Huge shame to see grown men acting like that. I commend the Klitschkos for keeping their calm.

I agree with you and just above.
Maybe a useless post, but what if Junior Dos Santos came over into conventional boxing and challenged a Klitchko? Or any of their opponents?

He’d last maybe 30 seconds. MMA “boxing” is different from, and generally inferior to, real boxing. Just like pure boxers don’t do well crossing over to MMA, MMA fighters probably shouldn’t cross over to real boxing.
Let’s face it, if anyone in the UFC’s heavyweight division could box with a Klitschko they’d be stupid not to go collect that payday.
MMA fighters aren’t worse fistfighters then Boxers.
Not at all.
There are similarities and differences (the mitts, being able to fend off clinch attempts and takedowns etc), but many MMA fighters would keep up with a boxer would it be only for three rounds.
Boxing has lots of strategical and tactical elements that won’t work for 3 rounds.
MMA is more akin to K-1 fighting in so far that a bout is a sprint, not a marathon.
It’s being fought in an entirely different endurance segment, physically and mentally.
That doesn’t mean DosSantos wouldn’t get smashed by either Klitschko in a true boxing bout.
All that aside, let’s talk Chisora-Klitschko:
This is the reason I find smack-talk disgraceful.
This is why I would applaud firing a guy like Chael Sonnen, even if he’s a fantastic wrestler.
In a just world, they’d fine and ban both morons - Haye and Chisora.
It’s a symptom of today’s morals - being an attention whore always pays.
Vitali showed his age as well as guts: his left arm was mainly uselss from a ligament tear early in the fight.

I wasn’t saying they were worse fighters by any stretch, on their own turf they would probably beat most boxers (see: Couture v. Toney).
What I said was that they are usually not very good boxers. Most MMA fighters don’t come from a boxing background, and neither know how to defend against a boxer nor know how to hurt someone while wearing boxing gloves. Or they may know, but they haven’t done it nearly as much as a guy who is just a boxer. They certainly don’t do it as much as the Klitschkos.
Overeem or some of the other K1 fighters might be able to transition to boxing, but even they would have a hard time. The clinch rules are just too different, and the ranges and angles are all wrong for them, they would have to re-learn a lot of things just to be a competitive pro-level boxer. To be a champ? They would have to dedicate years, same as a boxer going to MMA would.
Im far from being an expert on any type of combat sport but I think its easier to move from MMA to boxing than vice versa. Just my opinion.

Man! Chisora is such a rogue! He talked so much smack about how he was gonna drop Kiltschko in the 8th round. It makes you wonder how people like them were raised? No respect at ALL. Even at the basic level. How do you just slap someone for nothing? Then brawling with Haye and saying he’s gonna kill him. SMH.
For the record Chisora is 28 and Vitali is 40. How do you just slap someone 12 whole years older than you then spit in their face? Sad thing is the kids between 13 and 18 nowadays are even worse.
‘‘Children are the future’’?? I can’t imagine how things will be in the next 10-12 years.
Vitalis self control was impeccable. Being able to control one’s feelings to that extent aint easy.

If by “keep up with” you mean “barely survive and not get knocked out,” then I agree. But under boxing rules, 98 percent of MMA fighters are going to get pummeled by an A level boxer and three rounds might be all it takes.
Same thing for a boxer in the octagon.
Boxers are so much sharper with their hands that a comparison is nearly impossible to make.
That being said, I kind of heard about all the drama with the heavyweights and I still don’t care. Boring fights, boring fighters, and nothing worthwhile once you go above whatever weight class Hopkins is fighting at at the moment.
There’s great fights coming up in the lower divisions, that’s all I care about haha.
MMA vs boxing??? Again??? Neither would last well against a decent amateur from the other code. Different sports, different skills.

Way to compress 3 pages into 2 lines.

I don’t know why it comes up so often.
The insistence of the MMA crowd that someone with totally different skillsets could “hold their own” in the boxing ring is just as ridiculous as the few people who still think that boxing alone does well in the octagon.
It makes no sense to me at all. I suspect the people that make these dumb claims either don’t train in boxing or mma, they just buy the tshirts, or they train one at a mcdojo type place. I reckon they are probably the same people that ask which one wins in a streetfight.
Is Chisora retarded
Legit question, I really want to know if I’m passing judgement on a mentally challenged person
I love the Klitschko brothers but I can see why the HW division is so dead.
