So basically I used to get heart palpitations all the time I was really over weight like nearly 400 lbs horrible diet I am also a recovering alcoholic. I lost all the weight got down to 215 changed up my diet. I’ve been on the vertical diet for over a year now since adding salt and magnesium and getting all my minerals in check they went away.
I’ve been on trt for 6 months now and about 2 weeks ago switched to everyday injections 250 mg a week split into 7 doses daily. This is when I noticed they came back. I haven’t switched dosage amount just frequency. Prior to everyday injections I was doing 2x a week at 125 a shot. I looked up causes of heart palpitations and it says hormone changed can be the cause so I was curious if it was to do with my switching to daily injections. I have no other symptoms that would lead me to believe I have heart trouble. Tons of energy no shortness of breath or anything like that.
Another thing to note though is my weight has gone up from 215 to 250 but this time it’s mainly muscle as opposed to when I was just really fat in the past. I still have visible abs. I monitor my blood pressure daily which is like 115/58 with a heart rate of around 55-60
Just curious if anyone else has experienced this when switching to daily injections or in general on trt.
Someone is going to say that this dosage will put you in the emergency room… that’s not true… at least not acutely… yes it’s high for TRT (for most depending no individualistic metabolism/elimination) but could be worse, not like you’re cruising on half a gram. What you need to be on the look out for is prior cardiac damage, particularly in relation to alcoholism (dilated cardiomyopathy is a common complication)… having been 400lbs isn’t great either, thus using supra doses may be far riskier for you than for most.
250lbs and visible abs, how tall are you, if below 6 foot 1 can we get a pic as that’s fucking massive (I assume you’re generally a big boned guy if you managed to get all the way up to 400lbs)
AAS (and initially TRT too) induce sympathetic nervous system upregulation and cardiac autonomic dysfunction (granted the body will likely reacclimatise eventually)… 250mg isn’t that much, however some are far more sensitive than others to this side effect and some only experience it from certain hormones. 250mg in relation to testosterone only is enough to induce profound changes in my RHR and HR variability throughout the day… then again I have autonomic dysfunction present without TRT/AAS, likely linked to fibromyalgia/chronic pain. There’s numerous mechanisms behind this, but primarily beta adrenergic receptor up-regulation…
By palpitations are you talking about a sensation of a hard heart beat (this may be normal after large meals etc) or premature ventricular/atrial contractions (feels like a large quick lump jumps in you’re throat or chest). I get them particularly the day after alcohol intake (because it’s soooooo toxic).
I agree with @unreal24278.
I get palpitations when I eat too much in one sitting, eat too many carbs at once, Or Drink alcohol. It’s also a lot more exacerbated when my thyroid hormones are out of whack.
I’m actually 6’4 so I’m definitely a larger guy. By palpitations I mean like a hard thump it generally happens like maybe 3 times a day it used to happen hundreds of times a day when I was drinking and back then it would be followed by a rapid rise in heart rate which I don’t get anymore. It’s definitely nowhere near as bad as it used to be.
I really haven’t experienced any side affects since starting trt either not even acne. I should also note the reason I’m on 250 is because I started at 150 after a month my levels only went up to 420 from 300 so I upped it to 200 which brought me to 540 so I’ve been at 250. I didn’t just go straight to 250 and by my t levels I mean total t my lab won’t test shgb and all that they tell me to go to a specialist which admittedly I haven’t done yet.
Were these episodes diagnosed as afib? If yes did they go away on their own or did you need intervention?
PACs or PVCs are mostly benign, but with your history it wouldnt be a bad idea to get a ECG and a cardiac ultrasound scan done. Just to be on the safe side.

I actually had the opposite. Palps and high rhr after big 2x a week injections. Switching to daily def helped. I’m currently on 250mg a week daily dosing (this is my *blast) and don’t have issues but my rhr and anxiety are always kind of high
How long did it take after switching to daily did your palps go away?
I actually never went to the doctor for it which I know i should.
About 2 weeks. However I lowered my dosage and tirated upwards until I fealt a sweet spot, obviously the palps suck so I was willing to lower to feel changes. Less is more sometimes.
This is what happens when you change protocols, levels are now unstable and will take 6 weeks before levels are stable again needing 8 weeks to really start seeing benefits.
So 35mg daily, that’s an awful lot of testosterone for a daily protocol. Your hormone levels will be a lot higher than previously.
But you said you are currently on the same dose as me at 35mg a day/250 a week? What’s your height and weight if you don’t mind me asking?
As a blast yes. My normal dosage according to doctors orders is 182mg a week and 1 click of test cream
5’9 182 age 27
hmmmmm, if you’re on 250mg BASE hormone per week it’s actually the equivalent of slightly over 350mg test E/wk. In which case that’s a solid blast, you’ll gain a lot of mass if you train like a beast and eat well (and even if you don’t diet properly, you’ll still recomp)
I’m on test cyp, idk what base is, I meant to say i’m on my version of a blast.
Without a photo of visible abs, I call BS on everything.

I had this. And after exercise hr would stay near 100 for hours. Found out I have dilated cardiomyopathy. Maybe get the echo cardiogram
I went for 48 hr holter and ekg… He saod heart rhythm was normal even tho the test elevated it lol he said according to him results would be the same. God doctors annoy the f outa me
Also pre trt had high rhr, they all say its my anxiety which i do have high levels of
Did they ever find a cause for said cardiomyopathy? genetic perhaps?
Are you on medication to treat/control the ailment yet?

I don’t quite get what your saying. Are you saying because I pin everyday it’s equal to more than if I was pinning once or twice a week?
Ya I don’t get that mine returns to normal immediately. I even bought one of those at home EKG machines I use it all the time it always says rhythm is normal.
