Has Anyone Ever Tried Salvia?

That alone would convince me not to try it, apart from the fact the advice comes from one as respected around here as you. I tried a few things during a rave some time back (early 2001) and the extreme heat, some dehydration, the speed and the X that I took left me with a feeling of paranoia, I can’t tell you how much I hated that feeling.

You literally become a vegetable for about a minute, and once you are actually able to move again you are retarded (literally can’t function), then become all sorts of unstable for a few more minutes. After 10 minutes you’re all good.

My friend took a hit of salvia, and we didn’t realize how strong it was until he fell over unable to move or understand us. Then he tried to fight me and ran head first into a wall instead of tackling me.

I wouldn’t suggest it.

Awesome, I’ve been getting myself ready for a heroic dose lately. Shrooms hit me so much harder than most psychedelics for some reason. I get really, really emotionally fragile. Pure ego loss.

Ahem, maybe. Although I have never used… :(
I tried DMT once. I don’t recommend it. It’s just a totally different experience than anything you’ve ever had, unless you’ve been in the K-hole before (ketamine, which is another I don’t recommend for the same reason). DMT makes even 8 grams of shrooms feel like a healthy meal by comparison. I consider(ed) my general mindset to be perfect for handling large amounts of psychedelics, mainly because I have successfully handled large amounts of psychedelics (although I’ve never eaten more than about 7 grams of shrooms in one sitting, but shit, once you get past 5 or 6 grams, is there really that much more of a difference?). But I wasn’t prepared for DMT at all.

When I took it, I used this other drug called…fuck, I can’t remember. Started with an H. Anyways, my buddy was some pseudo-expert on this shit and apparently you have to take this other drug to help your body metabolize the DMT so it lasts longer. Big mistake. Normally you’re looking at an hour at the absolute most, but this H drug made it last for about 2 1/2 hours. We smoked it out of a crystal meth pipe first, then smoked some of it with some bud.

Imagine falling through the hole in Alice in Wonderland and then stopping halfway and being stuck looking through this dark shaft with the world at the end of the shaft, far, far away. That’s how it is. That’s how it was for me anyways. I have no idea what a common dosage is so I don’t know if I did too much or what, but I did just as much as my buddy did and he was a DMT veteran. That shit gets right on top of you FAST too. Like 30 sec. to 1 minute for the real intense shit to start after the first hit. Every hit after that just sent me further and further into Neverland. I enjoyed it only because I was able to come back from wherever it was I went.
Man, I dont know what kind of DMT you were smoking but for me it never lasted for more than 10 minutes or so. We did it the same way with a meth pipe. We had to help each other smoke it because after about 2-3 fat rips youre so fucked you cant even hold the pipe by yourself, I cant imagine how youd be able get enough in to make it last over an hour. 2.5 hours is just crazy, definitely would not enjoy that.

The average dose is like 10-15mg, which is like a tiny pinch of it.

And for the guy looking to get DMT, the guy I did it with makes it himself with ingredients he buys off the internet. Its from some kind of root or bark I think, you can probably find a recipe online. Hes a chem major tho so it may be pretty complicated.

Holy shit. Yeah, I won’t be having any of that. She would have been in trouble had he been any bigger and stronger.

Salvia Divinorum is a plant that can be smoked just like tobacco or marijuana. I was reading about it on cracked.com:

Salvia is actually pretty harmless, as intoxicants go. There have been a few accusations of its involvement in causing a suicidal mindset, but evidence is spurious at best. In fact a number of scientists believe that salvia may act as an anti-depressant, and its effective use in ending cocaine addiction has been noticed as well. Dr. Bryan Roth believes the drug has the potential to help those suffering from schizophrenia and Alzheimer’s and has urged the government not to ban salvia. With the potential to cure depression, Alzheimer’s, schizophrenia and cocaine addictions, it’s a wonder salvia isn’t a mandatory side dish in high school cafeterias across America. We’re going to go ahead and say that last one is a bad idea.

I’m wondering if anyone has ever smoked it, and what your experiences were like on it.

Has it cured your Alzheimer’s yet?!
Salvia is alright, i think shrooms would be a much better experience though. people who get scared on it are pussies and cant handle psychedelics, which are one of the only ways to crack below the surface of this massive fuckin mystery known as Life. ive had shitty salvia and good salvia. it kind of reminded me of a 15 minute shroom trip. if you are mentally stable, i wouldnt see anything wrong with trying it. the thing i love about psychedelics is that they remove your ego and allow you to see through yourself, and re-evaluate your life. to put it simply, its like hitting the restart button on your mind, Rebooting your thoughts, De-fragmenting all of the bullshit tangled up in there.

I agree, but there’s a very large difference between being a “pussy” and not being mentally ready for what’s about to be experienced.

It’s totally fucked when you hear about people who basically involuntarily tried drugs (were slipped, given without really knowing,) or of similar scenario.

Imagine not knowing anything about mushrooms and someone tells you that you just ate like a dried quarter of shrooms on a pizza, and somehow you didn’t realize that. Imagine all the misleading media and stereotype-driven information about psychedelics… you can’t tell me you wouldn’t freak out.

But anyway, I agree semantically… I just feel that before someone tries a drug (particularly a psychedelic,) they ought to have a full scope of what the sensation may be like and just kind of know what to expect.

I agree with you entirely thats why i threw in that you should be mentally stable because people who are not tend to be more likely to have a bad trip. some of my friends i used to trip with in highschool are pussies though lol, they seem to have bad trips even when they already know what to expect and theyre ina comfortable environment (im sure you know someone like this), and ive ended up having to comfort them during their trips, pretty annoying.

Also, its funny your post resembles my very first mushroom trip.

i was with my buddy and he gave me a bag that had well over an 8th of shrooms and he told me to eat all of it and all he told me is that its a really good high so i had no idea i was actually embarking on a psychedelic journey. man did it scare the shit out of me.

at first i was laughing uncontrollably but then my asshole of a friend dropped me off at my house right as i was entering the peak of my trip and my parents were home too so i was barely able to communicate with them. i ended up going in my room and laying in my bed with the covers on looking at the walls around me moving back and forth. made me feel a little uneasy. i look down at my hands and they seemed so far away, and before i know it i started seeing faces in the walls which is when i began to freak out lol.

i was only 14, and hadnt even smoked weed before this day so it was really my first time ever using ANY type of hallucinogenic. and that has been the only bad trip ive had, every trip since then has been extremely positive and enlightening.

Tried Salvia once in high school with a friend.

I just fell to my knees and started laughing uncontrollably.

My friend thought he was a ferris wheel and started spinning on the ground.

High lasted roughly 10min.

it’s an awesome experience, sometimes the high bodyheat scares me, but it’s fun nonetheless, maybe i should post the video.

I’ve tried it a few times.

First time I only took a fairly small hit & basically giggled on & off for about 7 minutes. I also felt very strongly compelled to stay seated (though I wasn’t ‘rooted’ to my seat per se) & felt/saw warm waves of energy washing over me.

Second time I tried it (I’d drank about 5 or 6 drinks beforehand) I took a much bigger hit, laughed uncontrollably for nearly 15 minutes (streaming with tears!!) & had a very odd delusion that I was the ‘Fat controller’ conducting trains from the UK kids TV show Thomas The Tank Engine.

On both occassions I also felt kinda bouncy (physically) + I had an incredibly strong taste of rubber in my mouth.

Very intense, odd stuff!

In favor of “the video”
