Hardest Workout?

The hardest workout I ever have is 8-10 hours making firewood by hand (cutting, splitting, loading) in below zero temperatures.

Thanks ZEB. But it’s you that I admire and read many good posts from! Keep up the good work. It’s good that we have experienced people like yourself contributing on a regular basis.

Climbing Mount Everest; took about 8 hours.[/quote]

that was a joke y’all.

but really, it was biking up an 12 mile trail, took like 3 and a half hours to hit the summit of the mountain. My legs were toast for about a week, and I crashed and burned, which messed up my hand pretty bad (on the way down). it was almost a 1000 foot ascent as well. Since it was only the third ride I made last year, and was WAY out of shape, I thought it was gonna kill me!

taking care of my 3 kids for a weekend that my wife was away.

toughest training would have to be HS wrestling practice = .5 hr drills, 1.5 hrs of wresting circuits with 60 sec rest every 3 minutes, 2 min water break, finished off with 10 minutes of straight conditioning work at high intensity (pushups, situps, vertical wall pushups, sprawls). All done in a sealed room (wet towels under the door, no windows) with an ice pack on the thermostat. F-ing killer. At 130 lbs, I lost 7 lbs water on average each practice, while heavier guys would lose up to 15 lbs (we weighed in before and after). That and guerilla drills in the Army were the toughest.
