Thanks NHLFTR, I have been feeling the hurt from that lifting/work combo since but tomorrow will be a good lifting day.

Coming home from work on Thursday I stopped to pick up bananas at Winn Dixie grocery store. It was lightly raining and there were puddles near where I parked. I began to step out of my truck and my left foot touched down in a large puddle of oil based paint which caused me to slip and take a hard fall on to the asphalt. I fortunately caught some of my fall and managed to land mostly on my ass and back.
I went inside the grocery store and alerted the manager to what had happened. The manager was very helpful to get me kind of cleaned off. There was no acetone so he gave me a can of WD-40 and I used Dawn to scrub the paint off my hands. I didn’t feel any pain at the time. I was going to sit on a couple of garbage bags in my truck to drive home but the paint was all over my backside and the clothes were a mess so I took them off in the parking lot down to my compression shorts(underwear) which look like bike shorts. My boots were also covered in paint. I later hand washed and soaked my clothes in bleach overnight however I still had to throw them away because the paint was not coming out.
Friday after work I started to hurt and I had some deep purple bruising that developed on my left triceps along with some bloody scrapes. I also had some very achey bruising on my right side of my back toward the middle and lower portion. So, I skipped lifting last night but today I am feeling good and most likely will lift later. I am thankful this was only a small pain in my ass and the manager at Winn Dixie has been great, he even called this morning to check on me and offered to replace my clothes. I’m not oblivious that he and Winn Dixie are probably thankful I am not litigious.

Well at least nothing is broke. I’m sure the manager is craping huge nuggets right now. He’s going to kiss your ass all he can.

Crippler, you’re right the manager is trying to keep me happy but he’s also seems like a nice person and I am glad nothing is broken.
Tonight the lifting went well. I was a little apprehensive because of my fall but I only had a little soreness remaining in my back this evening. I think I’m still feeling the after-affects from lifting heavy a few nights ago.

405 x 3(decided to keep it light tonight due to stress and the weight felt like a ton which was unusual)

Fat Griz Extremes CG Bench Press:

296 x 1(Could be a PR but I wanted 2 or 3 reps however the energy wasn’t there yet is was a nice clean touch and go)

Sumo Dead lifts:
225 x 5
315 x 3
405 lbs x 3(Felt a little wonky most likely because I haven’t done deads in a while)

Standing Crunches:
70 lbs x 20

Overall a good strong night done in about 50 minutes. I coming to the end of a 3 month training cycle so I may change it up slightly the next month and do some strong bodybuilding or at least something different routine wise.

Glad you dodged any major injuries and squat and bench are both looking strong.

Thank you all for the kind words and support. I’ve been really wiped out all week from doing extra work in the extreme heat and humidity but tonight I finally got back to lifting.

that sucks about the fall. it’s always the stupid shit that gets us…like tweaking your back picking up your gym bag after lifting (has happened to me).

you’re very much moving in the right direction. makes me smile to see you crushing bench with the fat gripz. they are a game changer.

Thanks hawkcapt for noticing the Fat Gripz benching, I think they’re the most awesome addition to my bench ever. I’ve been lucky or fortunate with the fall, not to have had more serious injuries or complications. Tonight’s lifting went well.

My grip was sweaty on the deads otherwise I feel like I could have done 10 with that weight.

Glad you’re ok after that nasty fall. Must be your powerfull glutes that saved the day. Last winter my wife feel twice getting out of the car. Once on the drivers side and once on the passenger. I witnessed the second one. She went down hard. Stepped out on ice.
