When I start to get sick I find masturbating every hour on the hour for 24 hours usually sets me right…if I’m still sick after 24 hours I go to twice an hour.

Lots of pressure changes and rain today which had my joints achey and creaky so I lifted.

Had my abs spasm slightly after finishing crunching. Good, clean, fast lifting.

Felt pretty good tonight after coffee.

Tonight concludes 3 weeks of my first phase of my Bulgarian training and now I will have one week of lighter lifting not to exceed 70% of my max. There is this deal at a local MMA studio for 2 weeks of free training so I may do that this coming week as part of my lighter schedule. The lifting this evening was satisfying and quick.

Having done all my squats the last 3 weeks with no belt or knee sleeves has been great. I don’t know how much further I will go up in weight on the squats without using a belt but I won’t use the knee sleeves until I’m well into the 500’s again.

That’s a lot of weight with no equipment. Much more than I can do.

Dave you’re another to destroy me on the bench. So, today began my light training week and I decided to take a free Crossfit class. The class I went to was a strength based WOD structured on Jim Wendlers training. I barely walked away from the class with my lungs falling out, my body having the shakes in different muscle groups, and a big exhausted smile on my face. I was twice as old as everyone in the class and lifted more than anyone but my Achilles heel was the 10 minutes of circuit work following deadlifts.

Crossfit WOD:

800 meter run-warm up
Alternating lunges for about 60 feet-warm up
high knees(60 feet)-warm up
butt kicks(60 feet)-warm up
Goodmornings-bar-warm up x10

Deadlifts:(raw-no belt)
135 x 5
225 x 5
315 x 5
405 x 3 sets x 5(all done with little rest between sets)

12 Pullups/21 kettlebell swings/7 squat jumps(Circuit/Giant set):
The squats had to be done 1 set on every minute for 10 minutes and one had to complete the other exercise reps inbetween squats to full rep completion before starting another giant set. The squats had to be done every minute no matter where one was on the other exercises. This was a real killer and I only completed 2 whole sets but I did about 8 sets of squats.
I did not fully recover from this WOD until after I drove home and took a shower about 1/2 hour after leaving the class. My legs and lower back are feeling the work as is the rest of my body and I feel great because I pushed myself past comfort and regular protocol. Oh yeah the hurt is good!

Now that is some work! I was tired reading what you did.

Just curious, I saw from a search that you started doing lecithin granules back in Feb for the phosphatidic acid. Did you notice any results from it?

Crippler-The Crossfit nearly killed me and I am still have serious DOMS as a result which despite therapy I haven’t fully recovered yet. I’ll have to do it again when I feel like traumatizing myself again.

Ecchastang-I was taking the lecithin granules up until right before my powerlifting meet in December. I think I put on some weight by taking the lecithin granules and I was a small bit stronger because of using them. I did notice feeling very healthy and energetic while using the lecithin granules as well. There are health benefits to taking lecithin granules besides any muscular benefits which I am sure you can google. I will probably begin adding lecithin granules to my protein shakes again soon for the health benefits and slight strength increase. I think one can get all the phosphatidic acid they need from lecithin granules and the price is about 8 dollars for a month’s supply.

Arg…I still can’t shake the Doms from the Crossfit the other night but this lifting helped me loosen up a little.
