Thanks NHLFTR. By the way I just noticed I am ranked 10th in the nation on the current Masters 40, 220 lbs and over-all ranking for 2014 in powerlifting on PowerliftingWatch. I’m ranked higher on the masters all time at 220 lbs. Next year I am going for a higher ranking.
fantastic , awesome work ethic and results GV…best of luck on your quest.
Thanks OG. I’m humbled by all the great lifters on here and out there busting their ass in competition. Tonight the lifting went well especially considering I had a rough work day. It was in the low 80s temperature wise here today and I had a good sweat going for many hours. Nice January in Florida.

Had my 4 year old daughter attempting pull-ups(really just hangs) and doing pull-downs when we weren’t playing restaurant between sets. My sickness is pretty much gone though I still am coughing up some congestion(what fun). Weighing about 209 lbs whereas I was weighing 219 lbs a few weeks ago at the powerlifting meet.
Hard work pays off. Nicely done.
Thanks Crippler, you certainly put in your own hard work.
Glad to hear you are getting over the bug. Sweating it out isn’t a bad thing although it does drain you for training.
Thanks Dave. It turn out my fan is broken and I haven’t picked up a new one so training is even more sweaty. It was a humid 80 degrees tonight for training so I did get my perspiration out for the day.

Feeling stronger every day. Still coughing up a mess but otherwise I feel great.
Feels good dropping all the gear sometimes. Good feeling knowing the belt and wraps don’t help all that much.
Have to say I agree with you NHLFTR. Tonight the lifting went well. I had a lot of tension in my upper traps and neck from whatever but after some intense rolling the lifting loosened me up.

Felt fairly strong and went pretty fast for about a 40 minute lifting time. Weighing about 208 lbs and feeling light and tight and ready to fight. Thinking about trying out an MMA school for 3 free weeks to add to my training and get some instruction.
208, you are down in my territory GV. Too bad my squat is about 200 pds. less than yours.
Yeah Dave but you’ve got 80 lbs on my bench. See if I can catch up a little to you this year. Tonight the lifting went well.

Hope you and your family have a great 2016!
brotardscience, today we got to 38 degrees which was fairly cold for here. Reads sorta frigid there. Thanks by the way. Tonight I didn’t feel like lifting anything so I lifted.

Low energy night and feeling kind of creaky but tomorrow will probably be better.

Thanks NHLFTR. I have lost 12 pounds since I became sick over a week ago and I haven’t lifted since the my last meet. I am thirsting to get back to lifting but the bug is still in me a bit. Maybe tomorrow the tide will turn and I will lift. I hate feeling this way.
I feel your pain. I got sick and lost 9-10 lbs between Xmas and New Years. Felt drained.
hawkcapt1912-Man, having the bug was a bitch but I’m finally through with it. I have gained a pound or two now and I think I’m back up to 210 lbs depending on my scale and what time of day I weigh in. Let’s hope we don’t have another round of illness anytime soon.
Didn’t have a chance to post yesterday’s lifting so here it is:

All work both nights was done quickly and in good form. My strength is slowly returning.
Solid work, gorilla-like work. Great job.
It will come back pretty fast.
