My energy coming in to today’s lifting was very low and sluggish. Maybe my body was rebelling against lifting on football day. The hefting went okay though.

Good day overall and my Dolphins won. Had to listed to the game on the radio but thems the breaks.
Thanks Jack. Tonight I didn’t feel like lifting anything. I was depressed because I’ve been losing clients. Fall is sort of on the way so the cycle of growth here is slowing which means my customer base dwindles each year but this year I’ve lost more than usual. The economy is not getting better for me. Lifting helped lift me out of my despair for tonight.

Squats felt extremely heavy at first but I growled through. Bench felt extremely strong, fast, and in the groove. I finished the lifting with a smile having a good night.
Thanks Crippler. I get such a psychological boost from lifting. When I lift my entire concentration is there moving the weight and achieving whatever small goal I have for that time. The satisfaction and content feeling I get from expressing the most effort I can at each lifting time is spiritual. I’m sure there is some acetylcholine-serotonin-dopamine thing going on in my brain associated with this good-feeling.
On the other hand business for me will probably suck until spring but there is hope that my wife will soon have a good job so things may be looking up. Thanks for the hopes.
Crippler-I am working to squat at least 600 for this next meet. A raw 600 squat, 600 lbs dead, and a 300 bench is the goal. If I am able to do better than those numbers I will be very happy but a 1500 lbs total will be a nice stepping stone. My current progression is going well so foreseeing that I am able to continue making gains this goal seems reasonable.

I think a lot of us feel this way about training.
Matty I’m not sure what the carry over will be. I think the results of using the super Fat Gripz Extremes will be more evident closer to the powerlifting meet. Tonight went well.

So, back at after a day of rest and dealing with a bunch of extreme strain in my right leg. My calf, quads, hip flexors, and ham muscles were aching beyond belief so I attacked them with tons of deep tissue work and muscle stimulation. Still dealing with the strain but most of it is gone. Had a good night of lifting.
