Happy New Year to you and your family GV.

Thanks everyone and a Healthy and Happy New Year to all!
Tonight the lifting went well and I have to say the Arachidonic Acid already has begun to have a slight impact in my body. I have developed more DOMS than usual from last nights lifting and I did have a good performance this evening although I can not say if that is due to the AA but perhaps it’s possible. Time will tell.

T-Handle Swings:
100 x 2 x 20

Safety Bar Squats:(RAW!)
155 x 10
245 x 5
335 x 3
425 x 1

Incline Bench Press:
135 x 10
185 x 5
225 x 1
255 x 1
265 x 1

Standing OHP:
135 x 5
155 x 3
190 x 1

Hanging Leg Raises:
3 x 10

Coming on strong now that I’m passed the flu. Have quite a bit of soreness in my forearms and lats which may be the Arachidonic Acid beginning to work, that’s one of the side affects of taking AA.

Had a great night. First we went to see American Hustle then I lifted.

T-Handle Swings:
100 x 2 x 20

Safety Bar Squats:(RAW!)
155 x 10
245 x 5
335 x 3
431 x 1

Bench Press:(New Grip-1 inch each side from the smooth-fairly close)
135 x 10
185 x 5
225 x 1
255 x 1
281 x 1

Standing Crunches:
80 x 20

Wanted to do more but pressed for time. Strength is continuing to return nicely. And, I got a late Christmas gift due to mail be slow, a Super Nova ball for mobility work. I used the Super Nova from Rogue Fitness and I really love the way it digs in.

Another good night.

T-Handle Swings:
100 x 2 x 20

Safety Bar Squats:(RAW!)
155 x 10
245 x 5
335 x 3
435 x 1

Close Grip Incline Bench Press:
135 x 10
185 x 5
225 x 1
256 x 1
207 x 3 x 3

Standing Crunches:
80 x 20

All went pretty well.

I’m sure you’ve explained it before but what routine are you using? The everyday thing looks difficult.

I’m doing a Bulgarian routine modified for powerlifting. It is difficult to get the mind around it at first but then adapting to it becomes easier. One thing I like about the program is the economy of time and movement. I need to incorporate dead lifting more to round out the training.

Felt good going in to the lifting but after squats I began to fatigue quickly on the bench press-overall a good night though.

T-Handle Swings:
100 x 2 x 20

Safety Bar Squats:(Cookie Monster RAW!)
155 x 10
245 x 5
335 x 5
437 x 1

Fat Gripz Bench Press:
135 x 10
185 x 5
225 x 1
245 x 1
195 x 3 x 3

Standing Overhead Press:
135 x 5
155 x 3
192 x 1

Took a break from doing abs tonight. If I can find the impetus and energy I’ll do deads tomorrow. This may not happen due to NFL playoff games and the need to be a big lump of lard for a couple of days.

Tonight began with decent energy but after deads the squats felt like a ton and the floor presses were mediocre.

T-Handle Swings:
100 x 2 x 20

Sumo Deadlifts:(RAW!)
135 x 5
225 x5
315 x 3
405 x 1
475 x 1

Squats:
135 x 6
225 x 5
315 x 3
405 x 1

Floor Presses:
135 x 5
185 x 5
225 x 1
250 x 1

Less than an hour of lifting so things went smoothly and quickly. Have to say my body is tired. The Arachidonic Acid I have been taking is definitely making more sore than usual which is what it’s supposed to do. I also think I am getting better muscle activation when I lift, I think I may be loosing body fat or just feeling tighter, strength seems to be going up slightly, and I’ve grown 3 inches(that’s a slight fib) with the Arachidonic Acid. I’m running a 50 day cycle of the AA so after 6 days the results seem positive and I can’t wait to see the rest.

I’ll join ya, sounds like an awesome plan! Enjoy the games! great lifting as always , GV…

Your videos are awesome

Thanks OG and Chobbs, just trying to have some fun.

Didn’t have any coffee tonight previous to lifting and my energy was very flat however I had a good night.

T-Handle Swings:
100 x 2 x 20

Safety Bar Squats:(RAW! ATG)
155 x 10
245 x 5
335 x 3
440 x 1

Fat Gripz Close Grip Incline Bench Press:
135 x 10
185 x 5
225 x 1
252 x 1
207 x 3 x 3

I forgot about doing abs until after I put everything away so I said screw it until tomorrow. My bench felt much better tonight and the squat went fairly easy.

250+ close grip with fat gripz incline is a big number. Close grip on incline presses has always been a tough position for me. Good work.

Thanks Dave. My goal is to be close to 300 lbs with the close grip incline benching in 2 months or sooner. I find that my flat bench is as much as 50+ pounds greater than my incline. So, if I get my incline to higher weights my flat bench always improves by big numbers.

Had to take last night off due to family and schedule interference but hopefully today I will get back to the iron.

Doing the Bulgarian method for powerlifting, missing a day here and there is likely more beneficial than harmful.
