Wow. So much going on in here. I hope everything calms down for you.
Well folks, I couldn’t get any lifting in this past weekend due to family and events however today was a new day. Decided not to overdo things this evening but the lifting went well. It’s been about 12 frickin’ days since I lifted.

Felt fairly strong and I’ll be making huge jumps in days. I weighed 202 lbs today which is 18 lbs loss since July 14th. I feel like I’m starting all over but with a good base.
That’s some solid work right there! Love the long pause…excellent
Nice squats. I like the shirt too.
Thanks fellas.
Strong first session back GV!
Thanks Dave. Tonight I decided to be a little nuts and do Dan John’s suggestion for deads.

I’m fried and going to need lots of recovery work tonight(Rolling, voodoo bands, marc pro). Feels good to really put it all out there.
I read war and peace while you were in the bucket on those breathing squats…Impressive bro!
Thanks Matty. I was feeling them today so I did some more.
Please tell me 42 sets was a typo…
THAT
IS
INSANE
chobbs-I did 42 sets and my body is feeling it this morning. It’s sweet lifting fun and at the end you feel a bit dizzy as well as tingly not to mention the crazy sense of body strength and total destruction.

Sitting in my 70degree office with a light fan blowing on me and sweating after reading this. Nice work GV!

I am both impressed by your reading speed and GV’s pause and holding strict form through it. I don’t think I could do that with 205 on my back. Come to think of it, I think we should next challenge GV to read War and Peace while in his pause stance for next session. Some how, I don’t think this would phase him.
Thanks Wiex. Decided to read Moby Dick while doing my pause breathing squat today. Felt like a truck jumped 10 school busses and landed on me this morning but after much rolling and stuff I was able to move. Lifting this evening was light and fast.

Good work that was efficient and with little rest between sets. Mucho rolling and mobility work to follow.
Really nice squats.
Thanks kpsnap, I have to be ready if I want to compete in the USAPL.
We need to talk…42 sets of doubles? Holy crap GV! and I agree with Snap you’re squatting is very stout.
Thanks OG, the deads seemed to go fairly easy but next time I may do the half hour of deadlifting with a standard bar and slightly more weight. I was supposed to drop the bar every time after picking it up but I don’t have rubber plates or a floor that can take that kind of abuse so I gingerly put each rep down for the killer work.

Felt strong and refreshed tonight. I recited Hamlet for a pause while doing my 430 lbs squat:
Really nice squat GV. How are you liking the breathing work?
Those presses are looking really good too man.
