What’s a normal day of eating look like?

Chobbs- I average 250 grams of protein a day but that sometimes move up to 300 grams. I eat a couple of bananas, a couple handfuls of craisins, a huge tablespoon of peanut butter, a protein bar, 2-60 gram protein shakes, a tablespoon of local unprocessed honey, a bagel, a cup of broccoli, chopped chicken, a chobani yogurt, chicken breasts or salmon steaks or steak or mahi mahi or gyros or meatloaf (for dinner), a cup of rice, dark chocolate, pistachios, almonds, and cashews as well as some other snacks like corn tortilla chips with humus on most days. This list of course does not include my supplements which are many.

I take a lot of natural supps and various amino acids. These foods are broken up into 4-6 meals a day. I probably should eat more because I am a fire breathing calorie burning machine and right now I am loosing weight but getting stronger. I might have a whole large pizza sometimes and on occasion I eat a pint of ice cream for fun. I eat healthy things for the most part. I forgot to say we keep an onion, cucumber, tomato salad around always and I eat about a cup and a half of that each day. Rarely, I will have a sirloin double hamburger and somedays I will have a huge sub after work with turkey, ham, roast beef, and a ton of vegis and cheese. I also forgot to mention that I eat a lot of cheese to up my protein and I eat some cottage cheese every now and then. I do snack on some grapes and have some apple from time to time.

I haven’t been to a fast food place in ages but I will eat a subway footlong rarely. So, that is a general picture of my diet. I do love to eat and I make an attempt to keep it with high protein, good fiber and vegis, and medium amount of carbs but I stay away from simple sugars for the most part.

What do you think?

It’s obviously working for you lol I just like to see what other people do and compare it to myself!

Have been completely worn out the last 2 days from extremely hot and humid working conditions. Following work I have been so cramped up with muscle soreness, some spasms, and heat exhaustion that lifting has been out of the question but hopefully I will get back on track today.

So, I finally got to lifting tonight so I thought I’d go all out.

T-Handle Swings:
100 lbs x 2 sets x 20 reps

ME Fat Gripz Bench Press:
135 x 10
185 x 3
225 x 1
265 x 1
280 x 1 (PR I think on FG)

Dead Stop Pin Bench Press(Starting at chest):
225 x 3 x 3

Triceps Push Downs/ Dumbbell Hammer Curls(Giant set):
100 lbs x 5 x 12/ 35 lbs dumbbells x 5 x 12

Kroc Rows:
61 lbs x 25 reps(each arm)

Standing Crunches:
90 lbs x 20 reps

Svend Presses:
30 lbs(3-10 lbs plates) x 3 sets x 20 reps

The Svend presses really finished my chest nicely and my shoulder got a little something too. Tonight went well considering the fatigue and extreme water loss I’ve experienced this past week. I lose about 6-8 lbs of water a day in water at work and gain it all back by the next morning. I’ve also lost considerable body fat and now I’m averaging about 206 lbs bodyweight in the morning which is at least 14 lbs bodyweight loss since July 13th. My bench is getting stronger and my right hammy and quad are still healing but overall strength is up I think which is just fine with me.

Yesterday was a low-no energy day and it seemed there was no snapping out of it, so I lifted anyway.

T-Handle Swings:
100 lbs x 2 x 20

DE Paralel Box Squats:
135 x 10
225 x 5
315 x 3
365 x 8 sets x 3 reps(1 minute btwn sets)

ME 1(45 lbs) Plate Deficit Deadlifts:
135 x 5
225 x 5
315 x 3
405 x 1
475 x 1 (Have much more in me but my body was worn out, beat up, devastatingly fatigued, etc)

Standing Crunches:
90 lbs x 20 reps

This lifting session lacked any enthusiasm or energy. Had a crappy day, it happens.

GV looking stout as always brother! I have to try fat Gripz bench must be odd at first but could be fun

Had another off day but it could be because I’m thinking about my upcoming operation on Friday and I’m kind of doing a de-load.

T-Handle Swings:
100 lbs x 2 sets x 20 reps

Squats:
135 x 10
225 x 5
315 x 3
405 x 2
500 lbs x 1

Hanging Leg Raises:
2 x 15

Blah!

Operation? Did I miss something?

Having a vasectomy so it’s not so fun to talk about and I might miss a few days of training which pisses me off.

Been there, done that. It sucks in everyway in general. Take about four of five days off and you’ll be good to go. Stay positive and think of it as a nice deload.

Just make sure they know (and you) its just a Vasectomy not a Castration…lol

You will be fine man.

Rick

Take a ziplock bag. Fill it with ice. Put it in the little pocket in the front of a pair of tighty whity’s. You’ll be fine in no time.

I had to get two, as the vas reattached after the first one, so I have a unique perspective. The things you go through to keep it to 4 kids…

Thanks for the advice and good feelings, I appreciate the comments. Thanks guys.

Another lack luster lifting day.

T-Handle Swings:
100 lbs x 2 sets x 20 reps

Bench Press:
135 x 10
185 x 5
225 x 2
265 x 1

Standing Overhead Presses:
135 x 4 sets x 6 reps

Svend Presses:
30 lbs (3-10 lbs plates) x 3 x 20

Hanging Leg Raises:
2 x 15

Blah…Blah…Blah…

GV- Best of luck tomorrow. I had an operation a little over a year ago because aliens took up residency in my man-world suitcase and it was getting crowded. It was two hours under the knife and I was back in the gym 6 days later…So the procedure you are having should be a breeze for ya!!

I want to ask…but I don’t want to ask…what exactly “aliens took up residency in my man-world suitcase” means.

I’m really thrown for a loop this week. A member of my close family attempted suicide early Wednesday morning so the last 36 hours has been stressful and challenging. I will attempt to get a last lifting session in this evening because tomorrow is snip the boys day. Hope I can lift around family being here and entertaining or consoling as it may be.

That sucks. Nothing more elegant to say about it.

Keep your head up, and if your going to lift, lift safe. Best wishes.

Man I am sorry to hear this (the suicide attempt, not the snipping of boys) that shit is close to me as well, I am sorry you have to deal with it
