OH Squats = best way to stretch ever!

Damn good squatting, GV! I’m glad to hear that the leg is progressing nicely.

Had a meltdown in the sun yesterday. Too tired and worn out to lift so I have to delay to this evening after a day of helping family move boxes for a house move-should be fun.

As long as they have lots of boxes of books you should get a good workout. Do you get beer and pizza? My family all too often forgets that part of the deal, so I usually rather move friends…

That’s some big time work on the Zerchers. Very nice.

I totally missed the zercher’s first time through. Do you carry your truck to work too?

Good to see the hammy is responding.

Get as big a pump possible in your hamstrings then stretch, roll and stretch some more till pump goes away. Repeat whole process once.

I think you will like the results.

Moving was all day yesterday and 70 miles away from home. There were plenty of boxes of books and cans and other slightly heavy stuff. I didn’t get home until 9 PM so lifting was out because I was too tired to even fart. I finally get my upper body work in today-2 days late-and I have a nice after pump from all the moving yesterday. My chest and shoulders are slightly sore from the moving.

Thanks Rick, I like the idea of getting the hammy warmed up before I do some work on it. Thanks hawk.

I only carry my truck when I have a flat but those damn axles are a bitch on my neck and back.

Thanks Crippler.

Life getting in the way of working out or watching sports really isn’t acceptable!

Have to agree with you Dave.

So, lifting tonight was a bit of a struggle to get motivated for due the recent constant activities but all went well.

Lifting about an hour so things moved fairly quickly. Wanted to do more triceps but when I attempted to do some skull crushers using the football bar I had slight muscle spasms in my forearms so I decided I had enough.

I love the training in here. My next purchase is going to be a slingshot.

Thanks Joe. I think you’ll be pleased with the slingshot, just make sure you get the right size.

Loving that Giant Set!

The giant sets are a killer and very effective at saving time as well as giving the worked muscle groups a good exhausting-thans Matty.

Last night I felt kind of beat-up to begin with but after I began lifting the feeling was strength.

Strong night with lots of rolling afterwards.

Gorilla,

Every time I read your log I feel like I am letting myself down. You do a shitload of work and have a pretty physical job if I remember correctly, congrats on making people look lazy…and weak. Is the hammy 100% now or are you still doing this all on 1.5 legs?

I’m offline for a couple of days to come back and see two PR’s in as many sessions. Nice work GV!!!

Thanks Wiex.

Brian, yes I have a one man lawn service and today it was 101 degrees so you could say my occupation is physical and has its hot season, roughly 7-8 months of year here. My right hammy is not fully healed and I have a lot of discomfort in my right knee and calf however I seem to be able to lift with fairly heavy weights. I’m doing a lot of mobility therapy and some stretching besides. Every day my leg makes progress so I am anticipating a full recovery in the next couple of weeks. Thanks Brian for the props.

An aside is today I weighed after work and was my lowest for some time at 207 lbs bodyweight. My body fat is pretty low but I haven’t been checking it. I’m just seeing more definition and feeling tight and light and ready to fight.

Super impressive squatting if you were 100%, unreal with the injury at your bodyweight.

Thanks Dave. Me wants more. I’m thinking about dropping to 205 lbs bodyweight and competing in IPF, USAPL, and such federations. If I can get up to around 700 lbs on my squat and close to that on my deads while improving my bench I will be in contention for a top spot. If powerlifting ever makes it to the Olympics then qualifying will most likely come through an IPF comp so that’s a dream in the back of my head. I’m a dreamer and the kid in me still has the desire.
