No you won’t. You’ve never taken a hiatus from this place. You keep getting our hopes up and suggesting you’re taking the break then just posting the next day. If I didn’t know better I’d suggest you were attention seeking…

I get it, though. Reading is difficult.

Given that advanced functionality of, ya know, scrolling up … I’m willing to bet his next move’ll be doubling down, digging in his heels and trying to convince a collection of individuals we all are seeing things wrong and he’s right.

Bro, it’s because I MISSED THE POINT! Technology made so women no longer had to do their chores around the house and could go to work. The entire premise, that household chores are the woman’s responsibility, is not applicable in today’s world.

That’s like say (hyperbole alert), technology changed cotton picking so there was no need for slaves to work the fields anymore. It’s because of industrial machinery that they’re free.

But an excerpt from some economist that aligns with my point of view said otherwise (his example chores take more than an hour iirc). I haven’t actually read the book, but that’s neither here nor there.

*I post a metric shit ton of stuff that gets ignored, but let’s cry because no one commented on a link to a book about a point no one made. Hilarious, but here I am wasting my fucking time again.

@usmccds423

this is exactly how fucking dumb you are. how is that even an argument? you’re picking apart nothing to argue for nothing at all in the context of the discussion.

the point was that against what feminism has said, what really brought women into the workforce in huge numbers were technological advances. it’s completely irrelevant to the discussion what metric he used, was it a single mom? was it a motherless child at home doing chores? IT DOES NOT MATTER

but here comes usmc

wahhhhh wahhhhh he said under an hour!!! that’s impossible everybody!!! omg what an idiot!!! that’s laughable!!!

That semantics thread looks more and more appropriate for this place.

EDIT: and for the love of god stop patting yourself on the back for basic google searching. you didn’t go searching through journals, cross referencing different studies.

you got on google, typed up something, and clicked on the first things you saw. it’s not that hard guy. not to mention I did reply to a lot of your bullshit, you chose to not answer them besides this one which you clearly have egg on your face, again lol.

do you want to talk more about genital mutilation though? or enforced monogamy which went completely over your head? haha

@usmccds423

Methinks you struck a nerve with the book image.

I said it was laughable that he thinks chores now take an hour or less. You, fucking you are the one that picked this out of an enormous post to harp on something you have, on more than one occasion, complained about others doing. Fuck outta here.

No shit, you ignored everything I wrote to Brick; except, whether or not weddings cost more now or in the past, which isn’t even what I was arguing and whether it’s okay for me to find it hilarious that this fucktard thinks household chores take an hour or less. News flash, that’s stupid like you and the author.

yOu ClEaRlY HaVe EgG On YoUR FaCe, derp. Fuck outta here.

Jesus, lol, this is a perfect example of how shitty your reading skills are. I said I hadn’t heard of Hypergamy not enforced monogamy and your response is a link by Jordan Peterson on the later. Scroll back up and wipe the fucking egg off your face, dipshit.

I’ll save you the trouble

Sorry, I forget who I was talking to. I didn’t think I needed to preface that with “In my opinion” sound familiar?

Fuck off already.

I’m with you there. I use my dishwasher once or twice a year. I just don’t get the usefulness since you seem to have to pre-clean the dishes before you even put them in the dishwasher.

As for the rest, I’m starting to think I must phone my life in because I don’t really spend that much time on housework and we eat at home 95% of the time.

Maybe it’s down to having poor vision as I age. I don’t see as much and am much happier because of it

You’re missing out on thousands of hours that you could be doing useful female things, like flower arrangement or hair!

You’re a damn good welder and fabricator though, and that has to count for something.

I would spend more time on my hair if I thought it would do anything.Sadly, my skills don’t lie in that direction.

I used to be very on point with having a clean house. I just give less of a crap now. Maybe because my kids are older. If you pare down your possessions it’s just easier for things to be tidy. Just don’t look too close for dust.

My on-going battle is dog hair. Mine is half shepherd and she blows her coat regularly.

I can feel your blood pressure rising from here lol

Just a few points for the sake of your stupidity:

  1. You got all feminist on the property right thing and even got the whole point he was making wrong (which isn’t a surprise). You S Arabia as an example of women JUST getting the right to vote while IGNORING the fact that elections in Saudi Arabia were rare, which IS EXACTLY the point he was making. That in it’s entirety men also didn’t have much rights to vote. You are this fucking stupid.

  2. You made a big stink “wowzers” about genital mutilation just because YOU didn’t consider circumcision genital mutilation, which I linked to you that other people do. This was a point you decided to wowzers man on the author.

  3. I already went over your dumbass point about male archetypes in movies.

  4. I already tore down your stupid uhh what’s cougar hood bullshit.

  5. The primal nature: You’re arguing with the link he used? Im lost on how you read the same thing I read and came out to a completely different conclusion of what the point of the link was. This is show bad you understand what is actually being told to you, from the same link

A few lucky men are at the top of society and enjoy the culture’s best rewards. Others, less fortunate, have their lives chewed up by it. Culture uses both men and women, but most cultures use them in somewhat different ways. Most cultures see individual men as more expendable than individual women, and this difference is probably based on nature, in whose reproductive competition some men are the big losers and other men are the biggest winners. Hence it uses men for the many risky jobs it has.

It’d be interesting to see what side of the argument the author of this statement would reside on

  1. Jordan Petersons “enforced monogamy” was referenced because you said

“Societies that enforced monogamous marriage made sure all beta men had wives, thus unlocking productive output out of these men who in pre-modern times, would have had no incentive to be productive.” Um, whut?

you didn’t understand this, and so I told you something that could have helped you.

  1. The contraception part is part of a long list of conservative talking points about the destruction of the ‘family unit’ I can link you to some reads if you want.

  2. I already annihilated your vacuum cleaners comment we don’t need to go over it

  3. You didn’t get his point that women in college were being able to just ACCUSE a man of rape without any evidence and basically destroy his life? I already told you what Trump did with reversing Obama era legislation.

  4. I explained fatocalypse"

  5. Already went over the possibility that women aren’t truthful of their sexual partners, you can link all the polls and research you want on this, I’m going to take them with a grain of salt. I do think women have more sexual partners, and the rise in STDs could be related.

  6. We’re all in agreement with divorce court

  7. We agree on the pay gap issue

  8. In the CEO part he was being hyperbolic, Jordan Peterson also talks about this, that many women simply do not know how to negotiate their salaries, do not rise to the top for various reasons OUTSIDE of discriminating agains women. You can look this up yourself.

  9. We’ve been over stuff like this in another thread, if you look at the trend of young boys and men in society they are underachieving at the same time women are saying they aren’t getting enough opportunities. This is all fucking bullshit, from childhood education, college, and new entrants into the workforce. I don’t have time to go linking all types of research on this @BrickHead if you could please, there’s so much to link there.

  10. Females always took the bulk of healthcare, I think I linked this already. He gets hyperbolic about it though, I agree.

17 . Detroit, etc.

"To see what happens when the role of the husband and father is devalued, and the state steps in as a replacement

That was his point. Was it valid or not I dunno. It’s hyperbolic.

Anything else USMC? I pretty much addressed your every fucking point.

Cool opinion. I said:

Cool, a show I didn’t watch and was only vaguely aware of a decade ago, which is probably why I can’t say that I have run into the glorification of “Cougarhood”.

No, I’m claiming the author picked a sentence from Dr. Baumister’s quote and then twisted it to his own purpose. That’s why I highlighted the reason he actually gave:

Cool, you’re arguing a point I didn’t try and make. Bravo. Was there something I was supposed to respond to here?
image
Obviously, in the author’s view, they’re the ones destroying the commitment. That’s what he wrote. I gave my opinion on why I disagree.
image

Condescension, cute coming from someone that can’t read.
Thanks for pointing out yet another thing I was aware of.

Covered.

Look up and you may see the point.

:+1: Was there something I was supposed to respond to here?

Cool, I didn’t see. Asked where it was in the paper. Got crickets. Not sure what Trump has to do with this. Yes, false rape claims occur. I certainly didn’t say otherwise. I literally said, “I’m not sure what his point is?” See that question mark thingy. It means it’s a question.

Mkay…

Cool. Was there something I was supposed to respond to here?

Yes, they have more partners now than before. Like 2 more on average. It’s literally what I posted.

very astute, was there something I was supposed to respond to here?

Wonderful. Thanks for telling me something I didn’t know… Weddings have been expensive traditionally in the US. Read the link we both provided.
image

Yes, when you’re blaming the decline of Western civilization on half the world’s population (or whatever % it is) it’s expected to get a bit hyperbolic. Word, for sure. Was I supposed to respond to this with something serious? Dude thinks feminism caused the collapse of Detroit, but it’s cool to get a bit hyperbolic.

Answered.

Condescension from you, the guy made about @EmilyQ being condescending to him. Hilarious as usual.

Not that I saw.

Was I supposed to make a comment here? It’s what I said.

Sure:

Answered. He used them as an example, but he was taking about these places as a whole and ignored all of the other reasons these communities have crumbled. More stuff I provided that was ignored.

Lol, I spent at least 6-hours reading it, then reading it again when I responded and the result was this horseshit half assed response so I’m supposed to read another blog post from the same fucking guy. Nah, I’m good. Until I get my virtual reality fuckdoll I’m not giving this dude another second of my time.

8/10 troll job.

I acknowledged they were rare, Jesus H. Christ.

Wow, dude. Did you graduate from middle school? My wowzer comment was that he dismissed female genital mutilation like it was nothing

One paragraph = huge stink. Jesus.

Yes, your opinion is stupid I got that.

Mkay

His point was that men are doing more dangerous things and die before they can reproduce. The author of the blog post said: “THE OBVIOUS CONCLUSION from this is that a few top men had MULTIPLE WIVES while the bottom 60% (how the fuck is 40% a few?) had NO mating prospects.” Uh, no, that’s not what HIS link said.
image
Yes, you responded like an asshole and then subsequently got confused about what word I looked up. A “sorry, USMC I miss read/remembered you post” would have sufficed.

That’s okay, I’m well aware…

You didn’t get the point of me adding a fucking question mark to the end of my reply to that statement nor did you get the part where men get away with rape destroying women’s lives in the process.

Thank god! I was losing sleep over it.

Shocking.

I’m well aware of Jordan Peterson and his stance here. I’ve talked at length about it in other threads.

:+1: cool story. That’s why men make up a greater potion of the labor force, earn more doing every job and have higher labor force participation all while representing a smaller portion of the population in the US.

Yes, very nuanced responses too…

The most hilarious thing is, if I posted a blog from a militant feminist with the opposing viewpoint you would vehemently disagree with it and rightfully do, but because this dude (whoever the fuck he is) agrees with you you’re gonna defended his opinion. It’s comical.

At the end of the day, I could give a shit about 95% of what’s being discussed. These are not issues that affect my life.

Please understand that what I’m about to say is only meant with your best interests at heart:

Stop fucking posting and responding in this mess of a thread, then. Both of you clearly disagree with each other, will not come to any form of understanding, and who cares? At the end of the day you’re both just dudes on the internet, and if one of you doesn’t get the last word, what does it matter?

Peace and love

Hahaha, imagine any one of the “group” or “regulars” or whatever you call us repeatedly calling for reinforcements! @polo77j, could you do that thing you do where you show this guy how ridiculous his is? I don’t have time. @usmccds423, could you grab some statistics and break 'em down for this clown? I don’t have time. @SkyzykS, could you call this guy a weenie for me? I’ve got other things to do.

Hahahaha. No wonder the feminists have apparently taken over the world! The men-ists are too lazy.
